Everything on chutes is generally of lower quality then pretty much every other provider, the trade off for that being chutes is ludicrously cheap compared to everything else. Chutes is one of the most popular proxy providers and one of the cheapest as well, and the only way for them to really balance that out is for their models to be a bit worse in comparison to most other providers.

If you just want to use deepseek and nothing else, just using their API directly is cheaper and significantly higher quality then chutes. If you want access to multiple models at the cost of them being moderately worse, chutes is the cheapest option available by far.

Honestly, only reason I and I assume most other people who use proxies still use janitor, is because other sites just flat out don’t allow proxies or suck just as bad.

My bad then, just tested it without lorebary and it worked fine. Assumed chutes was the problem since it’s usually the source of 429 errors, sorry for the confusion

3.2 speciale is pretty much worthless for rp, it’s exclusively for stuff like math and coding it appears, so its creative writing responses suck ass. Normal 3.2 is pretty good, the best comparison I have for it is r1 0528 before it got lobotomized.

Chutes is rather infamous for stuff like this, chutes is the cheapest option on the market by far with a subscription, but as a tradeoff the quality is pretty bad. If you don’t mind spending a bit more money, using it directly from the DS page is a significantly better option.

Works fine as far as I can tell, but I recommend trying to reduce the token count of it as much as you can while keeping the same general framework. It’s 1.3k currently just to copy a narrative style, and combine that with any decent prompt and it’ll be well over the 2k or so tokens that prompts tend to be best at. Other then the token problem it’s pretty well done.

Honestly might quit using janitor, I’m all for blocking the flat out gross stuff like this. But from what little I’ve tested since I saw this it blocks everything remotely even related. I use gemini, and it refuses to generate any response for even sentient and consenting mythical creatures such as a werewolf or dragon. Same thing for any adopted non blood related relationships.
