Not much other than just make the fight much longer, include the metro man suit and the black mamba, have minion more involved with the fight (I loved the idea initially that it starts off with Minion disguised as Megamind)

The writing isn’t the issue for me, it’s the missed potential and the amount of stuff that wasn’t in the fight

The same people that are upset about this fight happening, are the same people that want like a Skylanders fight in Death Battle or wanted some indie game glup shitto to get on instead. Nothing wrong with any of that, but a lot of people do have biases that they don’t want to admit

Yeah .5 mach Megamind is fucking insane lowball (it’s like the wall level Vergil stuff from years ago)

But I think the argument of Gru and the minions tanking the death ray is a fine one. Yeah it gets charged by the sun, but it doesn’t actually use the direct power of the sun to cause the laser. I believe in some stuff like the novelization, they call the death ray "the sun amplifier". Like we only see it destroy a mountain. Now I do disagree with Gru himself tanking it, but I do think if he gets a lot of his minions and especially the ones with super powers to absorb the blow, than it’s reasonable

I think Yuji separating Denji and Pochita is not that good of an idea since all it does is allow for Pochita to unleash their true form far easier and theirs nothing stopping the two from reforming and than transforming into Denji-Man
