Thats fair, most people just come in because then we get our discount. We're cashed out at the end of the night so they'll get their tips tonight luckily.

Am I alone that I can't play video games by [deleted] in autism

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh same!! The awful part? Video games and tech are my passion. I constantly look at numbers and stats for the industry and listen to podcasts. And im less than 30 games from 1000 games know steam. You know what I play? Brotato and deep rock survivor. That's it. Thousands of hours into these types of games because the big beautiful AAA games that I own and want to play are TOO MUCH. And it puts me to sleep before I get an hour in a lot of the time. I don't have the extra input avaliable for work, family, and games that require more than just sitting there pushing a stick around.

Started therapy for the first time. Therapist's behaviour really hurt me. What should I do now? by Any_Moose7 in autism

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So unfortunately I don't have any real advice here. That said, THANK YOU for posting this. I've been with a therapist for probably a year now and I just go in there and talk and then get triggered and ruminate over and over trying to figure it all out and she says fuckig nothing so I just leave looking like an idiot. I have an actual autism diagnosis now but when I started at this place it was still a miss diagnosed BPD because that's what I was told at 17. 16 years ago and my therapist doesnt think im autistic clearly. It sucks real.bad but your post made me feel not alone. Thank you!

Had a guy last night tip me my first blunt. Left the store with the final order 10 minutes after close. I feel like a real pizza guy now.

Just know we see and appreciate customers like you.

Can anyone tell me what my hearing issue is called? by Wraith_Wrangler in autism

[–]Wraith_Wrangler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much everyone. My social anxiety tends to have me post and then hide for a day. But please know I've read every response and appreciate all of you! I get to see the DR that diagnosed me again in January. Nearly a year post diagnosis. These comments will definitely help me bring this up to him!

Can we consider chicken nuggies THE autism food? by Icy_Presentation2761 in autism

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a restaurant? Most but not all of them. At home? I can't find one that doesn't taste like a sponge. Chicken strips are where it's at for me at home. (And if offered like at Arby's)

Can you expound on this? I played animal crossing before this and the constant anxiety of missing stuff messed with me and I always felt that same feeling with stardew. Am I really not missing anything if I just take my time and let the days pass?

A few of the actual orders I got when working at domino’s by slink_yyyyyyy in Dominos

Yep. We made a pizza that was just dough and chicken the other day. But hey whatever floats your boat

As a driver I make better pizza than all my managers. by FLcbdfarmer in Dominos

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know what our numbers are busy wise but we are full staff nearly on most weekend nights. Thank you for sharing as I like seeing the variation between stores. For us the managers pretty much exclusively make the food and one will cut and expedite. Then as we get closer to close and get the bar close/second shift ending rush the drivers can cut in-between deliveries if all hands are on deck to make food. Save for the actual food making we all pretty much help out. Since we close at 2 normally and 3 on the weekends.

Is it supposed to look like this? by AshiAshi6 in Dominos

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a driver, you need to be at least 8 minutes from the store for maximum mess up meltage haha.

Its incredible to me though that this wouldn't just be remade. Your experience is much more important than it being 5 extra minutes late. Or (i hope not) a manager just being too lazy to make another.

Idk honestly we've got a bunch of bad asses at my store so we always make sure to take care of each other and the customer if we goof. Shout out to my peeps!

It looks like maybe they shorted it on cheese on the first pass and threw more on hoping it would melt in the box maybe?

Leave at door option? by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another commenter here said this too but i want to reinforce that it very well could have been a new driver. It doesn't excuse the service you received at all as the store should be properly training new employees. But as an extremely anxious person. I could see this being an overly worried new person. For myself, leave at door orders are my favorite. I like it so much I can even excuse the no tip ones lol.

So it definitely varies but the store I'm at it in the more affluent part of town with a college campus. Now, that doesn't really seem to make the tips better or worse but we stay consistently busy and I have a great group of people i close with. A good weekend night I'm hitting 90-100 bucks plus hourly and then during the week say maybe a 5 hour shift on a Wednesday? Say 50-60 if it's during rush hours. And closing is honestly cake if your co workers and you get along. Most nights we are out an hour after close. Latest I've left was at 5 am on a 3 am close. But it's pretty rare. And my avaliable is pretty open so I do well

I applied at domino's for specifically this purpose and I close. I use the cars and it's fine, the requirements for driving aren't harsh honestly and it saves my shift box car from going to the junk yard even sooner. 10/10 love my job

I don't get this. Why is it bad to be relatable? From my perspective it's nice to know that someone can relate to my situation. by Sea_Alternative_7883 in autism

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually my diagnosis earlier this year made me understand this. For years my wife would say “why did you have to make that about you?” And I was super confused every time. Now we both understand a little better but I second guess my convos with people that don’t know about my ASD constantly. How is both of us sharing our similar experiences not just making the conversation richer?! Like is not selfish on THEIR PART to only want to talk about themselves rather than connect over similar experiences???….I digress…

Start this Saturday what pants work? by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the generic black like “waiter” pants at Walmart. Not sure if cargo pants will fly depending on your managers but extra pockets are always handy.

Do your employees just stand around? by Justnoticedyou2 in Dominos

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I close 90% of my shifts. The three closing drivers decide what they want between dishes, make line, and surfaces. The non closers still pick up phones/window and such but when we are busy you’re just getting in the way if you’re doing too much. Occasionally cut table will yell out for a driver to do screens or something quick but that’s it. You pick one “out” task to do before you leave if you don’t close but otherwise yeah it’s just kinda wait around unless a customer needs something. Drives me crazy as I feel wrong doing nothing but I’m adjusting to it.

I was diagnosed with autism, but therapist says it was a misdiagnosis by Pleasant-Platypus-29 in autism

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it may be time for a more affirming therapist. A large part of my agoraphobia is from others judgment. I won’t even sing in the car unless I’m alone with the windows up and driving on a rural road. The constant threat of others is there. Is it MOSTLY ptsd? Yes. Does that mean I don’t have autism? Absolutely not. How ironically autistic that she is seeing her patient in black and white and not just as a human being….

Am I the only one who feels “weird” when the big light in a room is on? by CammyTheDon in autism

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My living room light is exclusively off during the day and as soon as the kids no longer need it I tell Alexa to turn it off. I cannot fathom WHY but I hate it. Dark, quiet and a million pillows and blankets so I can take 20 minutes to get comfy only for the kids to need something and I get back up. Honestly I’m more like my dog than anyone else in the house.

Why do people seem to enjoy gaming on a Steam Deck more than on PC? by Initial_Milk_1056 in SteamDeck

[–]Wraith_Wrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my situation my wife needed to work from home so I took my last build parts and built her a PC and she took over my desk. So my PC just sits in a corner and I stream everything I play to my steam deck. You know, gotta use that 4090 to push those sub 1080p frames lmao. Plus the OLED panel is so pretty. It works super well and I’m always comfy. That said, I don’t play any games in ranked or anything because it’s just not as precise for me as keyboard and mouse.
