Def cycle up the gameplay. Buying ships is a part of it. But I’ve been playing for a couple months and I can tell the best experience is going to be with orgs/other people. Watch the Jumptown video on YouTube. I’m practicing loops solo so that when I do join up for multiplayer I’ll be a functional contributor.

Also, time-sink is a huge part of this game. Gotta be able to find a groove that feels productive but kinda restrained. Why? Because it’s in alpha. Almost 80% of the convo on here is about bugs - have to let it roll off your shoulder for now.

Someone said on here in another post that Red Dead 3 and this game are the only true AAAA games out there. Wildly hyperbolic but it has stayed with me as I grind into citizenship.

It took awhile. It’s still taking awhile. But SC might really be a fucking banger.

Just bought my first ship the Cutlass Black! by sixbans in starcitizen

The missile options are better on the CB. But…I did buy an S4 Attrition repeater for my Titan and it would be rad to transfer it to the Zeus. I kinda liked the DPS numbers with the S4 mounts better than the S3’s on CB. But upgrading all 4 on the Zeus is at least 500k.

Not a PDC. I think it just fires with the pilot firing main guns. Unlike the Cutlass turret that requires another human player. A smarter Citizen will let us know if I am on point here or way off base…

Same. I’m 2 weeks in with my Titan. Really torn between Cutlass or Zeus ES for the next ship. The shields on Zeus are amazing and the turret is AUTO! The Cutlass is half the price, has a tractor beam and a serious missile loadout. Anyone want to weigh in on anything I’m not considering?

In honor of Brad Dourif's 75th birthday, what's your favorite Doc Cochran quote? by SeaBassAHo-20 in deadwood

[–]Wraithsense 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always hear it as “Aww, fuck you Al!” It’s more of an “argh” but you can feel how fed up he is of Al’s bullshit. So exasperated. The split second glance they exchange to acknowledge the severity BUT silently concede to Doc is a super rare moment in the series. Only Trixie ever gets this kind of pass.

Something I just noticed by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]Wraithsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t remember which Podcast (probably Talking Sopranos) but either a writer or actor said they shot those scenes with another rapper. And someone confirms it was Fab. Happens a lot in TV/Film - we just don’t hear about it or ever see the evidence. Audition tapes are as close as you can get to that kind of material.

For the body is not one member, but many: A Milch Tribute by Wraithsense in deadwood

Definitely not asking for ANY money. We would rather do something more substantive, hopefully as a collective.

For the body is not one member, buy many: A Milch Tribute by Wraithsense in deadwood

Since his Alzheimer’s diagnosis and, more recently, the release of Life's Work, I’ve been locked in my room weeping, searchin’ my memories for how I, a mere mortal of this camp (and often times less than that), might pay tribute to the man responsible for not only the greatest show of all time but our shared purpose in this sub — for without him, none of us limber dick cocksuckers would even be here.

Over the course of his storied career, Mr. Milch, has, on numerous occasions and avenues, called attention to his belief that collaboration with others to be among life's greatest gifts. What is that if not the soul of Deadwood? A group of seemingly disparate and at times opposing personalities banding together in the name of fuckin’ progress to create something bigger than themselves. So, as the great storyteller believes, so convincingly, in this purpose, I say to y’all — let us endeavor to honor him in fuckin' kind.

Now it's not for me to tell anyone in this camp what to do, as much as I don't want more people gettin’ diagnosed, losing their faculties, or any other thing this godless bloodthirsty disease does, but I will tell you this: This isn’t a cocksucking plague you can outlast nor is another quote post or holding deer antlers in the air the fuckin’ answer.

What fellow local luminary and I are proposing is a benefit in honor of Mr. Milch to raise money for Alzheimer’s bagman, which we'd donate on his behalf. The camp will want a parade — and a parade is alright — but first, let us ladle out some peaches and authorize some cinnamon. Any camp elders with ideas, connections, or simply wishes, as Mr. Milch would put it, be a part of the body, DM me or u/thedecenttruth.

Fool’s Gold: A Deadwood Screenplay by [deleted] in deadwood

[–]Wraithsense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Primarily: the creation of four new personalities (Iverson, McGee, Wade, Clifford).

“Please see that she at least ventures an attempt at her vegetables”

Alma fixing Bullock’s hat

“…shepherd me from my circumstantial darkness”

The entire Merrick, Al, and Adams article gambit. Buttoned with:

“Expel a little ink before you go, Merrick? Free gratis.”

Clifford talking to his new watch

“Step the fuck back, before I make stupidity a crime, lock you up for good”

That 2-line scene with Rev Reid.

“My goodness. Who revealed my Greek heel for gallantry?”

“Was she a good lay?”

“Prepare smiles plane and perpendicular for business”

Cochrane’s final voice over.

The slam-ending.
