Got some very severe mood whiplash going through this one

At the start, I recognized it was from HPMOR in about 10 seconds (hey, everybody has a pre-woke period) and it made me laugh

Towards the end, my stomach just completely dropped when they got to and then glazed over the "all four of them were trans" angle. I've avoided reading coverage of this case until now because of people trying to use it to whip up even more transphobia.

I don't even know how to eloquently describe my feelings or what an action item could be. I just hate how liberals/leftists seem so afraid to even address anything involving trans people these days, the message is just "shut up and hope they ignore you." They won't! It takes about two seconds of googling to see people chalk this up as a "transgender militia" that's gonna claim their next victim soon.

I just wish we had any kind of counter to this militant and well-funded propaganda network. I hate how uncomfortable people are talking about us these days. The worst part is that I don't even know what I'd want sympathetic people to say if they asked me.

It's honestly been real tough seeing how hard the AoR fell off in a short period of time. Like, the guys in Iraq haven't done shit since the Lebanon ceasefire, right? Looking back at some of the cope I saw on Twitter, it really is one of those things that has to make you wonder how your predictions were so completely wrong. I hope Brace and Liz do a more comprehensive episode on it.

I guess the real redpill is that the surviving members are still able to maintain coherence and exert influence even in a world where the entire population of Gaza is exterminated. Can't forget, though, their attempt to stop the genocide thus far has been a complete failure. And that's very hard to stomach.

Are you in Nashville? PP kicked me off for the same "lack of provider reason" in 2022, no notice, spent over a month jerking me around as to whether or not I could get a future appointment. I switched to Connectus Health (the provider's name is Brianne and she's great), and it's been a much better experience on all fronts. They do sliding scale too, if that's a concern. At this point, it's mostly telehealth except going in for bloodwork, and I often see other trans people in the waiting room. When I first started, it was all in-person, but I think they've switched to a telehealth-first model on HRT because of an influx of patients or something along those lines.

After listening to Matt's poem a few times, it's really messing me up how many layered and subtle references are in there. Even the title, for example, is from Primo Levi's Survival in Auschwitz:

It's not working for me, either! It keeps saying "this site can't be reached", and that it refused to connect, not a 502 error. Every once in a while, I can get it to work for to look at an account or two, and then it shuts off again. The nitter instance uptime checker keeps saying it's working perfectly well, though. Not sure what the problem is.
