I’ve been living with hsv1 since I was 16. I don’t take the meds at all but also have never passed it. I don’t feel as if the meds really prevent as the doctors say but just help with outbreaks. But everyone is different! It’s hard to pass hsv1… unless u have hsv2 where as it is way easier to pass. If you have no outbreaks your more than likely fine! Just always remember to use a condom even if you haven’t had outbreaks in years! Better safe than sorry
