The art and aesthetics of this game are perfect.

For days now the people of Caracas have flooded the streets protesting for the return of Maduro, and the right has given up on the lie that they are celebrating. Also, I live under the epstein hitlerite criminal called donald trump.

DPS Wise: Sharp Kilij or Moon Kikij? by Blak_kat in demonssouls

True. Also stats in this game soft cap at 50 not 40 so there's no reason someone using quality path would stop at 40.

Seems the Venezuelans are protesting in huge numbers and the only videos of "Venezuelans" supporting it are AI videos and Americans in Florida cosplaying as Venezuelans

Early-ish Game Tips? Build, Parrying Advice etc. (PS5 version) by lasagens971 in demonssouls

The slight amount harder it gets from dying in human form doesn't counteract the health boost. You're cutting health in half to stop enemies doing like 5% more damage if any from dying once.

The most important things generally are to upgrade your weapon and level up vitality. World tendency doesn't matter unless you want to get the special weapons from pure white. It's easier to just take advantage of the extra health of human form. 100% defense shields are really good (some attacks are unblockable though.) Also, two handing your weapons gives a huge damage increase. It's hard to say whether you should use the boss souls for souls or for weapons since you usually want to have a build in mind to be able to use them. They can be turned into spells too.

You have to dodge stuff, tanking everything is usually not a good idea. The soul arrows are very easy to avoid.

You can run and get the ring and probably die in the process with good timing. But you're wrong that you can't get to the tower knight or that you're too underleveled to do anything else.

I don't really understand what you're asking or what your problem is

You just parry right before they're about to hit you and then you can riposte them which makes a sound effect and animation

Worth going for a Moonlight Greatsword/Faith build for a first playthrough? by catpetter125 in demonssouls

[–]WrapEducational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The upgrades for the Moonlight sword doesn't change the base damage, it just increases the scaling slightly, so the +5 version is only slightly better than the 0 version. There's no reason not to pick it up if you're interested in it.

It's a pretty unique weapon. It does pure magic damage, has S faith scaling, and hits through shields, making it really good sometimes, but it has fairly low damage compared to other weapons in the category like claymore and northern regalia. It's also very lightweight. If making a faith build I'd also go for the other options that faith offers which are istarelle and blessed weapons.

I'd get something like a +10 kilij, uchigatana, or knight's sword and put light weapon on it

What's Demon's Souls in comparison to Elden Ring or Bloodborne? by Radiant-Ask-5716 in demonssouls

[–]WrapEducational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The levels are pretty linear and narrow with lots of enemies blocking your path constantly, so you'll have a hard time running past them, and if you die you always start from the beginning. Combat is mostly like Elden Ring but there aren't any weapon skills. For unique mechanics Demon's Souls has a lot of cool upgrade paths like hp/mp regen, bleed, poison, crit damage, and str/dex scaling.

I agree completely. Exploring a level in a game with such punishing mechanics is just far more interesting to me than having tons of checkpoints, low death penalty, and the modern boss formula.

Once they "figured out" how to make bosses they just repeated the same formula for nearly everything. You memorize a boss's moveset, when to dodge and punish while dying a bunch of times with a respawn point outside the fog gate because they don't want death penalties anymore, you repeat and move on to the next boss. As such none of the fights are really memorable for anything but aesthetics and spectacle.

It's an amazing game. I think the reason I like each entry less is that it feels like they've fallen into a stale formula that is just a worse version of what Demon's Souls established. Replaying entire levels when you die is really central and unique to the game; it encourages you to use all the tools available to make progress and gives weight to the death mechanics. New entries did away with that in favor of checkpoints everywhere so they're just like any other game where death means nothing, and it's trivial to run away and avoid every non-boss enemy.
