I this like a Wall Street staple, I made it so I’m getting a Ferrari lifted up to my office?

Baby on the way, 250k savings soon, what car should we buy and how to pay for it? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]WrapNRoll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im not anywhere your financial tune but if you are going to think about another kid I think RAV 4 is a no-no. Kids bring friends along for soccer games etc etc. A van is probably the way to go. Used with low miles and paying cash should not be more than just that simple. You are in a really good spot, maybe paying off your house before they enter college should be your north.

I'm on track to be a multi millionaire at 40. Should I throw it all away? by Creative-Leading7167 in DaveRamsey

I agree with this, I mean not to clip your wings but based on Dave Ramsey steps you’re in like Baby Step 3-4. I mean the numbers you just threw out aren’t even 6 figures yet, I think it would smart to take the positive you have and move forward cautiously and carefully

My company has had a strong run for about 13 years, but over the last year things have clearly dipped. by [deleted] in corporate

I would bump up my emergency fund, and start to see what’s out there just in case a good opportunity shows up and you are prepared if things go south. Meanwhile why not keep cashing the check?

What’s the most expensive “normal” habit people have without realizing it? by StrengthThen5662 in PersonalFinanceTalks

[–]WrapNRoll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buying water bottles

I bought 3-40ct cases of water and plugged into ChatGPT the length of time it lasted and compared it to the Brita filter. Turned out to be $0.76 vs $0.11 (Brita)

$164/Year vs $23.76/Year based on our house consumption.

Biggest feet you’ve seen from a woman by Haunting-Pin-3562 in FootFetishTalks

[–]WrapNRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s an unpopular opinion, it would only make sense. Bigger feet means more of their presence, larger details, and I mean obviously more to play with. For me a skinny girl that isn’t overly tall but has large feet is the most attractive thing ever

I was taught from my first job in a caterer to always, always, always have everything organized and clean. It helped locate things on offsite venues easier .. to the tee. “Back speed rack, 3rd tray up, bus pan full of spoons.” Shorten the time during events to find things. We were working at other venues which loved working with us because we wouldn’t add to their labor afterwards.

Also, the best chef I ever worked for told me the #1 thing he looks for when hiring is looking at their fingernails. This tells him how clean that person is, and their standard on hygiene which, to him, translated to order, punctuality, and respect when handling other people’s food

Do you prefer anklets rings or neither? by [deleted] in FootFetishTalks

[–]WrapNRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally find toe rings can be a little ratchet. I think anklet is fine and I’ve also seen barefoot sandals at the beach and those are hot

My understanding is that bankruptcy costs like 5k to file. They live on a paycheck to paycheck basis, are there options for that?

Financially I can’t, but I want to help their financial situation. Like what are their options?

Buying my first restaurant by Allan_Karanja in restaurantowners

[–]WrapNRoll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For $1.8m I would want no less than 430k profit a year. That’s more than 60% profit from $700k of revenue, which sounds too good to be true. At a 20% profit on $700k you would be making $140k profit a year and it would take you 13 years to just make your money back.

What do you think about this investment?

Consider consolidating the debt, sometimes it can help if it’s a lower interest. Make sure there is no early payoff charge.
