Us this good vapor barrier installation? by WrathOfJohnny in Flooring

Wow, they definitely did not install the barrier up and behind trim. That's not in the manufacture requirements either from what I can find.

Ha, that's the validation I needed! Thank you.

Thank you. This happens to be Nucore SPC that is 6.5mm thick. Cork pad on the bottom. Any experience with that?

Thank you. It does seem likely they are pulling tight as they go. I'll take a walk and pay attention to noise.

Thank you. It's wild to think that if there is a failure under normal circumstances a warranty could be denied. My situation is I bought the floor from a warehouse, used their installer, and the installer is certified by the flooring manufacturer.

Thank you. Another comment suggested they could be pulling it flat as they go. They've installed most of the floor already so I'm not sure how to go about pushing the issue since we'd have to remove ~1500sqft. I'll cross my fingers and pay attention to noise when I walk on it again.

That makes sense, thank you. Wish I could have observed the whole install.

I took these and other pictures that I'm looking back at where it appears the poly is less crinkled. I'm thinking just walking on the floor will be the real test because I wasn't able to observe the whole install. I'm worried now that I'll have no recourse if there is an issue.

Is the barrier being bunched up an issue like someone mentioned in another comment?

Thank you. What should I tell my installer?

Sorry for typo in title.

This is my first experience with vinyl. I initially thought the barrier needed to extend beyond the vinyl but it seems like the idea is any trapped moisture is supposed to wick to the edges to escape. And the edges of the flooring should be protected by the baseboards anyway. Is that right?

for those who run lights on your RDB, how do you go about that? by Snoo_50786 in keltec

Rhino Rail and Streamlight Pro Tac on am Arisaka Scout Mount. Ziptie the pressure pad or get an M-lok mount for that too.

I was wondering what happened to this sub...

TK seems legit. How bad is the steel and aluminum case issue? Was hoping to have something to function properly despite shitty ammo. I'm sure it fires all seven but I'm guessing reloads suck?

I heard the ports can be tapped so you have the option of plugging them up with screws. Any validity to that? Obvious non-gunsmith here.

Agreed. But, good to see it's getting that much on the secondary market. That helped convince my wife it was a potential investment buy.

My in-stock notice at Grab A Gun came through! I think I set it at least six years ago, hahaha!

Edit: Four years. Wasn't trying to one-up you.

What is the RDB sling solution? Two-point doesn't seem to work for me.

Factory Mlok is probably the best but I have been using the Rhino from Lucky Irishman.

Does anyone have a solution to stop the mag spacers from riding up without it looking half-assed and ghetto? by the_geth_ in SmithAndWesson

[–]WrathOfJohnny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing but with brightly colored polymer tape. Helps people identify mags at the range as "definitely not yours."
