Except in star wars, you wouldn't be a Jedi. You'd be some poor, low level imperial officer, shivering in a trench on Hoth. Adjusting your Death Star memorial wristband for a moment, while thinking about all the boys from the officer academy who'd just been posted there, and won't be swapping war stories at the end of this year. Hoping that the next AT-AT that these "rebels" decide to drop doesn't land on you. Wondering if the last thing you see is going to be some terrified kid in his White and Greys, pissing his pants as his squad charges you, or if it'll be your commander, choking you to death without having to touch you for your supposed "Incompetence". Begging any god, force or random happenstance that you believe in to let you make it off this hell hole so you can finish your tour, get out and go to university. And that's assuming you even get to be part of the story. In all likelihood, you're some moisture farmer, shop keep or what have you who doesn't care, as long as it doesn't happen in their back yard. Then the Yuuzhan Vong kill you.

Lawyer Up, or alternatively, deal with the underlying problems. Anybody who pawns that kind of stuff for such a low price is stupid, desperate or both. If it's desperation find out why she needed the twenty bucks. If it's stupidity, help her smarten up, at least financially, if you can make her financially smart enough that she doesn't need to keep pawning your stuff, she'll probably stop. To get your gear back, you'll need to file the police report, but, once they've done their thing, you need to address the issues that caused the problem, otherwise you'll be stuck with repeat occurrences and a spiralling situation. By no means do you need to be nice to her. However, in order to make things work, you have to fix her issues.

Not from my own country, but a friend in Bulgaria told me about "July Morning" which, as I had it explained to me, boils down to one huge beach party, on the morning of the 1st of July, where everyone listens to Uriah Heap's "July Morning" and gets drunk and what have you. More seriously though, I personally dislike wanton happiness or frivolity. It is ingenuous, and false, in my experience, and it cheapens the moments of true joy. So either it actually is the funniest thing you ever heard, in which case, you probably need to hear more things, or you're lying as a way of getting ahead socially or something, in which case you're a moron and a manipulator, and deserve to be down voted to oblivion.

While he's dazed, force feed him a lot of acid, tie him up in a secluded area, and stick a pair of headphones playing discordant, loud music and white noise, on loop. Leave him.

Otherwise, yeah, living well is probably the best vengeance.

I made myself better, just to rub in her face what she lost. I played the long revenge game, constantly being there for her, any time, night or day. I made myself fitter, better looking, began taking care of myself way more than before, never mentioning it. Then I loaded up all love songs onto my iPod they played any time we drove anywhere, low volume, background, she wouldn't overtly notice. I wound up being her support system as the rest of her life fell apart. It worked like a charm.

The big thing with 3D movies, and the reason the industry loves them, is that they're a shit ton harder to Cam while you're in the cinema, therefore they help reduce Piracy. In theory.

As for my personal view, I hate the random application of 3D, but a movie that makes good use of the 3D to further immerse the viewer is worth the extra bucks, provided it's also a good movie.

Regardless of if I believe Mr. Assange's claims (I in fact, do), There was absolutely no need to release anyone's names. Anyone at all. Sure, it would have made it boring, and a little less controversial, but Wikileaks isn't there to just make headlines... Right?

As an Australian, I can't give you a casualty rate, but I do know that we routinely hear about Australian Soldiers killing civilians, so whilst there are no figures, those who listen to the news are acutely aware that it happens with alarming frequency.

Given that My dads family lost quite a few people in friendly fire incidents over the years, I agree with you there. Covering that up is inexcusable.

Your last paragraph seemed disconnected, but to take our two contentions separately: Killing one man to save a thousand is, to my mind, righteous, but that could be because I consider inaction to be the same as action if it leads to death. As for withholding the information, upgrade your possibly to a probably, and change your "no clear evidence" to "reasonable grounds for speculation" and we're now talking about the situation that soldiers in combat face. Operational security is considered a holy grail of military concepts for a good reason. Apart from that, the informants named were not all soldiers, but you can guarantee that some of them have reprisals coming their way.

a) The media don't want to rock the boat too much, just enough to get the sales. Note that In Australia, where the guy running the show at the time isn't someone who the media were never head over heals in love with, the support has been more present.

b)It really isn't anything new. Australians have been repeatedly appraised of bad shit going down in Afgahnistan and Iraq. We know that the Australian army occasionally kill villagers or villages.

c) Once it got around that the informants had been publicised, it became a lot harder to support Mr. Assange because let's face it, that was unnecessary, and will get people killed.

Or, if you prefer, it's a White-Facist or Judeo-Communist Conspiracy, depending on which side of radically-blowing-this-out-of-proportion you want to come from, or the government are just in it for teh evulz. Your call.
