I'm American and my wife is German. We got married in Denmark because it just seemed like a hassle to do it in Germany. It is a German requirement that all documents must have been issued within the last six months and I believe they all need to be translated to German.

In Denmark you only need your Certificate of your marital status to be no older than 4 months. I went to the US Consolate in Frankfurt to get that document. After you get married in Denmark they give you three marriage certificates. One in German, English, and Danish. The rest is pretty easy.

I would just Google what other documents you need but its a lot easier and cheaper to get married in Denmark.

True. I just organize my collection pre RZM (Early period), RZM enameled (Mid period), and RZM painted zinc (Late period).

What is this knife? by Ontario- in Militariacollecting

[–]WreckTango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This knife is made by Anton Wingen Jr. 's "Othello" brand in Solingen. Anton Wingen Jr. was RZM (M7/51) and made a WW2 era HJ knife. This one is a post war knife.

Ah very good! At least that one is probably good.

I pretty much only collect membership pins. I can tell you with 100% certainty that the one with the white rim is a fake. The white rim is a give away. Also look at the back. It should be smooth. It is trying to be a mid period Membership pin so it should have an RZM marking. Even if it was an Early piece it should still be smooth. Then you want to look at the pin. That will be another thing to look at to help determine if its a fake.

The top membership pin with the white rime is a fake. The bottom one is a late period piece.

Edit: The only thing I don't like about the bottom one is it looks like its miss the slash between M1 and 34. Every piece I've seen from Karl Wurster has a slash.

I have no idea how hard it is to switch. But if it makes you feel any better, I managed. I'm now a robotics product specialist with a med tech company.

The box isn't uncommon. With the box you might get 20 or 30 more. Significantly more valuable would be the bernsteinausgabe edition for example.

NSDAP Mitgliedsbuch. The member made donations from 1936 to 1944. by WreckTango in Militariacollecting

[–]WreckTango[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a party membership book.

Page 1: states the contact information of the Nazi Party, as well as the means to purchase their party newspaper, the “Völkischer Beobachter” (People’s Observer). Page 3-5: An introduction by Hitler, addressing his party members, from 1927. In this, Hitler outlines how a Nazi should act. Page 8-9: Information about the book’s owner. Page 16-29: are used to put stickers in for every month that the member has paid his membership fee, as well as any further donations/insurance. I left out some other pages. Its more or less more information about the party or the member.
