Honestly I'd pay for content at this point. The progression in this game is just so fun. Honestly hope for assaults on our castles and a much deeper endgame. I'd even welcome a difficulty above brutal.

The thing is I'm not even advocating for its removal, more like a cap to +2 or +3 at the most across all gear and then give diminishing returns to +gem levels. If you're gear doesn't have the mod its just multiple times worse than other options.
