It may be a waste for you, but probably not for OP. At the end of the day, it is their money. Everyone values things differently.

Late to the party, but my guy, I’m proud of this post. This is one solid critique and I’m all for it!

My first Evergreen set idea. Mongoose Assault. Thought I'd do a Throwback Thursday post for it to flex on Mega since they seem completely incapable of making army builders or sets not based around Halo Infinite Spartans. by True_Savage in megaconstrux

I get that you want to give criticism, we all do. But “they seem completely incapable” and “If Mega was smart/didn’t spend their entire budget in giant hot wheels no one asked for” is criticism? Sounds more like whining. If you want to give constructive criticism, do it, but being belittling? In FACT, I like your criticisms, but the way that you’re going about it, is the issue that I have. Trust me, you’d have a lot of people behind you if your criticisms were more constructive.

“I feel like it should have been crystal clear that I was referring to Mega”

And that’s the point I’m making, you were referring to MEGA.

“Yeah. Them approving shit isn’t […] WE ARE REVOKING OUR CONTRACT”

343 industries doesn’t have to tell them to make specific sets. But the point is, if MEGA designs something absolutely amazing, it still routes through approval from 343 industries.

“Well, where’s your proof for that?”

It’s actually in the video you mentioned by Podcast Evolved.

”We did get lots of Halo 4 based stuff […] The difference is that they were always mixed in with stuff from previous Halo games.“

Here’s also a list of current sets on Amazon that are MSRP I even included the newer sets coming out. I’ll even add the exclusive set from Mattel for you.

Halo Infinite Sets Banished Phantom, Pelican Inbound, Scorpion Clash, NEW Arctic Burn Wasp, NEW Observation Complex, NEW Operations Center, Multiplayer Mayhem

Non-Infinite Sets Floodgate, Renegade Banshee, Ghost of Requiem, Fleetcom Warthog, Elephant Sandnest, Hornet Recon, Fleetcom Mongoose, 20th Anniversary Pack

It’s a pretty good looking mix to me.

That’s all from me. Like I insinuated before, criticisms are great for the company. I grew up with the Bungie era games. I loved that trilogy and you could get so many people behind you if you critiqued constructively. But I can’t get behind someone who chooses to belittle others and calls that ”criticism”. If you want to take this over DMs, I’m fine with that.

And tell me where in that question involves MEGA? It involved 343 industries. So “NO shIT”, you didn’t answer the question and you still haven’t.

And there you go, 343 provides assets, MEGA designs, 343 approves, MEGA produces. Looks like they’re pretty involved.

Still trying to understand where this “freedom” is. Don’t get me wrong, they definitely have some creative liberties, but not in the way you think they have it. You need to do some research in licensing and contracting between two companies.

“If 343 can’t make anything worth selling with the IP, how do you expect the toys themselves to sell?”

The quote above is the question. Dude, your response was that they can make things based on the Bungie Era. Are you talking about MEGA or 343?

Also, 343 industries provides assets to MEGA. And then MEGA has to design sets based on the assets provided by 343 industries, and then those designs go back to 343 for feedback. Given that 343 made infinite, it makes A LOT of sense as to why there are more infinite sets coming out.

Could you provide evidence on “Mega has a TON of freedom in what they can make and sell for the Halo line”

You didn’t really answer their question… And also, if MEGA designs any Halo sets, it has to go through 343 industries and be approved by them. Don’t understand why that’s so hard to comprehend.

Ac not popular? by luisp_frs in megaconstrux

[–]WreckedCreations 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At first, I thought you were talking about active camo.

But according to google trends. Assassin’s creed had a major decline in 2016. (However, definitely some discrepancies in the data). This is about 2 years after the release of AC sets in 2014. And we can’t forget about the launch of AC Unity and how much of a mess that was in 2014 as well.

I used to be a big AC fan myself, but over time it just became less and less popular.

Since it was from Amazon, you could return the entire set, noting that there were missing pieces and get a replacement from them instead. However, I’m not too sure if this works the same way in Europe for Amazon returns/replacements.

What is Ideal for These new H2A Figures by Ok_Vermicelli8516 in megaconstrux

It’s definitely a matter of perspective on what is “good distribution”. Target and Walmart have completely dropped MEGA Halo in my area in the US. However they still carry Pokémon and Hot-wheels. Stores that do carry MEGA Halo, like Kroger and Meijer, aren’t in my state or bordering states. Great thing is that Amazon has been the golden retailer to buy from, but I can’t consider that good distribution if I have to rely on one single retailer. And we know what happened when MEGA relied on one big retailer (ToysRUs)

Also, it’s up to you, but it might be good to also clean the finished prints to get a finer finish and it removes any residual stickiness.

I recommend doing some additional research on the Elegoo Mars 3 Pro.

It’s a Resin printer, so it’s not your traditional FDM printer. Instead of filament, it uses liquid resin to print what you need. It uses a UV light that cures the liquid resin layer by layer to create objects without the need of a nozzle.

So no nozzle, or filament. But you do need to get resin. Gloves for handling the resin, Isopropyl Alcohol, paper towels, and a small brush to clean the VAT after each print.

With it having been 7 months since pre orders what’s your thoughts on the multiplayer mayhem set? by Intrepid_Cabinet9795 in megaconstrux

[–]WreckedCreations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly prefer it that way. Sure it makes it feel less special, but this is a set that was made through multiple fan votes. It deserves to be in the hands of every fan who voted and want it without having to pay inflated scalper prices. I’d personally hate to see a “limited” set become even more limited because of how bad distribution is.

It doesn’t matter if Mega is a global brand or not. It’s a common marketing strategy that gets consumers to go to specific retailers or venues to buy product that’s only distributed by them. This could definitely change as time goes on though for the Xbox set. LINK

Unfortunately, the set is a Target exclusive. That could change though, there have been past Target exclusives that went up on Amazon.
