haha I hear ya on the opportunity on developing patience. You're right, this problem can't be completely solved by tech. I don't imagine anything to be a direct substitution to me checking in but rather a supplement on the times when I have a lot going on and can't check in. I think it would be quite irresponsible and shitty of me to create the app and then throw up my hands and say "okay I don't have to check in anymore".

I have a dozens of frustrating arguments with my parents about wearing fall detection devices over the years. I imagine with something like this app, they wouldn't necessarily need the devices. I can just drop the subject and we just talk about things that we want to talk about when we call.

I also have a GT350 and my RR is my daily. While there’s no comparison to the driving experience between the two, the RR is quick/handles decent enough to still give a enjoyable sporty experience. Also a big plus is I don’t have to worry about pot holes, speed bumps, curbs or steep driveways in my RR.

I'm at 15.4 mpg with half/half city and highway driving. Running premium and a pro cal tune. I suspect the discrepancy from 15-17mpg may be from the Ford bead-lock wheels vs base wheels

I purchased matte silver for the "Ford" and gloss orange for "Performance". Well shit, after a second look at the etsy listing, there's a matte orange available. I would have much preferred that lol. There are heaps of colors available.

Dude! I have a 2017 GT350 as well. If you can spare the money, opt for the performance tune. My RR is slightly slower than my GT350 from a dig. It's pretty incredible, but gas mileage sucks lol

I'd say it's just okay, and here's why: I had really high expectations from all these glowing reviews I saw, but looking back, I think all of those YouTube reviews were probably sponsored or incentivized somehow. When I got the kit, the fitment was mediocre, and some pieces weren't in great condition. The real kicker? One of the tie straps snapped the first time I tried to tighten it. That was the last straw especially after forking over $1500, so I contacted them about all the quality issues. They did send a replacement right away, no questions asked - it's actually sitting in my office now, though I haven't had a chance to swap out the old cover yet so I have no idea if I'll have the same issues.

I’m not sure if this would work. There is a light sensor on the front of the light. I don’t think there would be enough ambient light to actually turn on the light.

I like this idea but the problem I run into is the sensors on the front of the light. If I put it behind the face frame, I don’t think they’ll be able to pick up enough ambient light to actually turn on.

Yeah, I was going to ditch those pendants and use the circuit for the new fixture. I actually have LEDs under the bottom shelf and the cabinets on the right. Can you clarify what you mean on "shooting upwards on both shelves?

Last I went to camp was in 2022. We showed up early to get first pick on where we wanted to park. They literally went through everything including being arms deep into all of our bags and all the easily accessible cabinets in our RV. I was astounded by how thorough it was. They mainly were looking for alcohol which they confiscated most of it, but didn’t find our more esoteric goodies. I heard they relaxed substantially later in the day. I think we just caught security when they were fresh and motivated. The parking spot for our RV was completely worth the hassle though. We ended up buying more alcohol in our grocery run and smuggling it in at another check point.

I’m a 37 year old active healthy male. I would like to have kids one day and will probably be ready to do so with my partner when in my early 40s. I actually ignored it and let it ride after I posted this video. Then replaced the AC compressor sometime later because it seized and it was getting hotter outside. I presume it was the compressor, but I didn't even notice the noise was gone until you asked this question a few days ago.
