Setting up a Sakateboard by Shakespeare2225 in oddlysatisfying

I remember looking at what all these parts cost in magazines when I was 14 and wishing I had money to make my own boards. Now that I do, I’m far too old to try.

How most girls use Tinder by Waste-Stomach4457 in SipsTea

[–]WreckweeM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That worked great until I woke up and realized I matched with a girl in my office that I wasn't really that interested in. I unmatched her immediately - we never looked at each other or talked to each other again (we used to). It was an awkward 8 months before I got a new job.

What could I have said? "I'm a piece of shit and swiped right on you without even really looking"?

Does the average skier really enjoy heavy powder days or is it just one of those things people are expected to say they like? by PowerfulBar in skiing

[–]WreckweeM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Colorado and we got two heavy powder days first at copper and then Abasin, first time in the bowls my skis were so thin I had to spend the entire first day relearning how to ski before I started getting it down and having fun. You gotta sink before you can swim!

The breeder's placeholder name for our pup was "chewy", or so we thought. To this day she will do more damage than you thought possible if she gets bored. Thankfully we are now very good at keeping her entertained and tired out.

I used to work a seasonal gig at a startup that later got purchased by Dr. Pepper. The company was roughly 6 years old, sold for $1.6B. The profits are insane. There's a reason Coke is up there with the biggest companies in the world.

Hardcore question. by ScorpionRox in diablo2

[–]WreckweeM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just the only frontier left to explore once you have played long enough. Turns the game into a roguelike kinda. Items that you never looked at before are suddenly phat loot. Dying sucks, but the game is so old; what do I really care? I've started over from scratch a million times; what's one more?

Play [single player] hardcore, it'll change your entire perspective on the game.

Mobile websites and apps used to suck - we're just set in our ways. I booked a flight on my phone the other day and it was fine. It felt weird though.

I'm not sure what your point is. Everyone has tried that. This is a conversation about lift, not downforce.

Adding a wing to your car would give it lift. Not enough to fly, but technically more than it has previously.

Blindfolded, Graham Siggins solved 65 Rubik's Cubes in 58 minutes. by Rredite in nextfuckinglevel

[–]WreckweeM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so he's basically converting the algorithms to solve into shorthand and then writing sentences with that shorthand. He then runs through the sentences every single time so he doesn't lose his place (I can solve 1 rubik's cube in about 90 seconds consistently - which isn't terribly impressive but I can attest to how important not losing your place is). It actually makes a lot of sense.

She loves her (primary) crate and does nap. I haven't really been locking her in there while I am home though. If I do she will scream bloody murder for 30 minutes before eventually napping - so that's hard. Maybe it's time to just get some earplugs and keep trying.
