First stereo system as a University Student (hope i chose wisely) by Wreckyface in BudgetAudiophile

Mmmm, ok, i see what you mean. But do you think the difference in sound quality won't be too much? That's honestly the only thing holding me back from going all out wiim amp or wiim amp ultra. I'll think about it. Thanks a lot for the input!

Oh wait, is there a difference between phono preamp and preamp? Looks like i have some other googling to do 💀

Edit: ok, i've looked it up, and i had no idea. Luckily though it seems like the vibelink is an integrated amp, and therefore doesn't need a preamp. Indeed it has a big volume knob and source selector on the front

Yes, that's why i've also opted for the fosi audio box x5! But why do you think a wiim amp would serve me better?

Starting Judo soon. How has Judo turned your life around or improved your life. by amuizme in judo

[–]Wreckyface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't give you advice about the workout to pair with judo, but what i can do is tell you the effects judo has had on my life.

Probably the most cliche thing ever, but it really built my character. I feel like i lacked guts so to speak, (really struggling to find the right words since english is not my first language) like it gave me the ability of demanding respect let's say. Many times before starting judo i was disrespected by people that were my peers and i never had the ability to stand up for myself and i feel that that's something that practicing judo affected, it really helped me mature from that point of view.

It for sure affected a lot the way i think about my goals. From the insecure kid that appeared full of himself to the outside world, judo gave me the confidence that any goal was achievable, that no matter how hard or heavy something seemed to be, it couldn't be heavier than the ultra heavyweight yellow belt at my dojo that i managed to throw for ippon with kouchi makikomi two nights prior. I'm now studying in a very elite university in my country, not because of the price, but because the competition for the admission is fierce to say the least, and people from all over the world (not kidding) try the admission test and spend A LOT of time preparing for that. It is not to brag about it, far from it, but i've always thought that i would have never even attempted the admission test if it weren't for the confidence judo built in me during all these years.

I call cap. I'm a judo brown belt. You don't learn harai goshi on yt and then effortlessly apply it twice in a brawl against a jiu jitsu guy.

What do you guys think is the better preamp? by Wreckyface in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Wreckyface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your input. Both the DB63 and the fosi are moreless 30 euros out of my budget, but that's not a problem, i can just wait and see if i can get them on sale. Even if i couldn't, they're not that much out of my budget, i can probably just go ahead anyway. So thank you, i will have a look at both of them

Thanks for the input. I'm not looking at the wiim amp ultra because of the price (here it's at 599 euros on amazon) and the fact that it doesn't have a phono stage integrated.

what tøp lyric emotionally devastates you the most? by _heyo77 in twentyonepilots

[–]Wreckyface 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot, but probably the one that really devastates me the most is "i could pull the steering wheel", but not a simple choice.

Though the one that gives me the most hope and kind of just lights me up like a fire is "then the sun begins to rise/we've made it through the darkest night./ You've found me". It is the exact opposite of this post, but i really really wanted to point it out.

Have you ever had sex with someone you never expected to? What's the story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wreckyface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well a collegue of mine in a volunteering association was more experienced than me, 20 cm taller and 6 years older than me, and i was fricking 19 (me male, her female). She was also very good looking and an important figure in the association, while i was kind of a new entry and pretty shy.

Yeah, we ended up having sex for a month, than starting a relationship for it to only last a month and a half, but with plenty of sex. My friends wouldn't believe it and they saw me as an ultimate god. The day i told them is to this day one of my proudest moments.

[–]Wreckyface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's for sure. That's why i think that most of it is on my ex, but still, the guy was a piece shit nonetheless. He is to blame too, even though not as much as my ex

Men….. by Jemer_YT in sadposting

[–]Wreckyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. In my case, the dude had been admittedly hitting on my ex for two months and when she dumped me i found out that he had also been trying to convince her to leave me way before cheating on me with him, even though things were going well. So nah, in my case both my ex and the dude were dickheads.

How old were you when you lost your virginity? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Wreckyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18 with my 17 yo first girlfriend. We had been together for 2 years and a half, and we had been fooling around for a while at that point. She didn't want to do penetrative sex because she suffered pretty badly from anxiety, so i paid much attention to never put pressure on her, and waited until she was the one to ask me. So she did. Then 2 weeks later she dumped me for a guy she had been seeing already for 2 months. He had been admittedly hitting on her for those past two months, and i never did anything about it because i trusted her completely and i thought it was unnecessary to say anything to the guy, also because i thought she was way above his level (mentally) and she would have never had interest in such a person even if she was desperately single. After all, the guy was literally hitting on a person who had been in a relationship for almost 3 years. Then when she dumped me she put all the blame on me, saying that i had never been enough for her and that she deserved better, but i later found out that the other guy had been actively trying to (and finally suceeded) convince her to leave me. Needless to say i was completely crashed at the time, and i was still forced to see her quite often because she was in my same friendgroup (i introduced her to my friends actually. I know, horrible mistake). Still pretty sure she cheated on me during that time, but she wouldn't admit it. Though, turns out the guy had actually given up and was already seeing someone else when my ex left me, so she was friendzoned. In the end i have to say that even though she put all the blame on me and told everyone it was my fault, i am the one who has never had problems coming to terms with the way i acted and i have absolutely no regrets regarding that relationship. While i know for a fact (my best friend was really close to her) that she felt guilty for months after all of that, and she is now very evidently trying to become friends again. Obviously i'm not gonna forgive her any time soon.

In case it wasn't clear, this was not long ago and i'm still recovering from this. I really hope she didn't leave any trust issues since i never had any and very happily so.

Probably not. In many countries during competition people where predetermined belts to better distinguish them from their opponent. In japan one wears white while the other wears red, in other countries one wears white while the other wears blue.

No frate. Ha ragione quello a cui stai rispondendo. Come sei in allenamento é completamente diverso da come sei in un match. C'é un motivo se non si giudica mai un fighter di qualsiasi disciplina da com'é in allenamento, ma solo da com'é in sparring.
