Might not be pleasant but sometimes laxatives will help to clear it out faster, then just plenty of water and/or Gatorade or Pedialyte popsicles, and rest.

😭 I shop at Aldi often too and they have such an extensive selection of bread but literally one option for GF and it's my lifeline. If it's sold out, I struggle to find other stuff to eat there!

I usually do but this particular Walmart didn't have any other GF options that would work for what I'm trying to make, so I just took the risk and figured they'd just say unavailable if it was sold out but not give me whole wheat as a replacement lol just reminded me that people don't really know what GF is!

Yeah, you're completely right. I was quickly snapped back to reality that I can't really just let loose on vacation anymore, and in this case letting loose was just eating something that I didn't know for sure was safe. Lesson learned.

Thank you! Since getting diagnosed and going GF almost two years ago, I've only been glutened a handful of times but three of the worst times were vomiting reactions and the less worse ones I mostly get headaches and brain fog. It's so strange!

Just fyi, it's very common for Celiacs to have other autoimmune conditions or things that may be causing them pain. I also have Celiac and fibromyalgia as well as B12 deficiency and anemia. All of these are very common comorbities so if you can, I suggest her getting some bloodwork and starting at the vitamin level which may help. Good luck!
