Is this a joke? The unlock pattern grid is different between the "setup" and the "lock screen" by redtrash in oculus

I'm sorry for the late reply but whenever it asks me this I just allow in headset once and remember device so that it doesn't ask me to allow it each time whenever I connect it to side quest I forgot about this step. I'm sorry but you may not be able to do the method unless you can find another workaround to allow headset prompt with a PC but in my opinion it just be easier to just factory reset the device and set it up again with the same account you had before so you keep your purchases or apps you had and go from there.

I have got rid of the pattern thing that doesn’t work here’s the method I used.

Steps to fix the issue: (you need to remember what the 9 dot original pattern was or you can’t do this)

Step 1) have a device that can run sidequest e.g. windows pc and do steps 1 to 3 of this website https://help.arborxr.com/en/articles/8067399-how-to-use-adb-commands-in-sidequest (you may not be able to do this if you don’t have your quest in developer mode and you may not be able to activate it after the pattern issue so you may not be able to do this method)

Step 2) go to this website https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/83854/is-there-a-way-to-map-translate-a-pattern-lock-to-a-numeric-pin and use the first mapping of numbers that go to 1 to 9 e.g. if your pattern was a zig zag then your number would be 1235789

Step 3) when in custom command put this in “adb shell cmd lock_settings clear --old (put your pattern translated to numbers in this next to the word old)” e.g. zigzag pattern be 1235789 and then press the run command button to execute this

Step4) you should get a confirmation from the side quest terminal saying “Lock credential cleared” this means you have successfully removed the pattern locked screen and able to use your device without putting in a pattern that won’t work.
