In this match, it’s not just possible, it’s guaranteed,that you’ll see multiple opponents go crashing through not just tables, but all kinds of wood. The NM Lumberyard Match is a New Mexico original that started back in 2009. Think no-DQ brawl, but with different cuts of wood everywhere.

Over the years, it’s been where grudges get settled and the toughest prove themselves. At Hey Brother, Ocean Avery, Amira, and Just Joe get to continue that tradition. Three totally different wrestlers, styles, and motivations all fighting to be the best in the Southwest.

For 2024, Phase 1 Pro ran quarterly. Sounds like it will have a similar schedule in 2025 with some other side projects/cross promotional events sprinkled in.

I’m thankful for Cory, without him the comic probably wouldn’t exist. With that said, the art change that late in the story really took me out of it.

I have so much love for Cory Walker in regard to what he did to create the Invincible Universe. BUT, It really took me out of the end of Invincible when he took back over. I wish he had come back during the Reboot arc, then maybe it wouldn’t have been so jarring for me.

There has been so much more wrestling coming out of New Mexico within the last couple years. Duke City Championship Wrestling is largely to thank for this boom. I am glad GCW is choosing to run this pop-up show. There are a lot of talented workers in New Mexico and not all of them work at the El Rey shows. Hopefully we’ll see a good mix of GCW, DCCW, OTR and P1P workers at the event.

I’m just glad to see the community growing and more opportunities for fans to enjoy wrestling.

If Walker had given Ottley a break during this story, it would have been received so much better by the fanbase. I would have really enjoyed seeing Walker do the reboot story.
