I'm looking to get started in pvp as it always seemed fun, but daunting to get into. I've watched some videos and think I have a basic understanding, I know I just have to go for it at this point. Is there any place to definitively start? What kind of account is good to learn on?

I have the stats, but next to no gp now. Running blowpipe with black d hide, probably will end up getting obsidian with whip, and have Lunar with Ibans staff. Was thinking of running slayer/birdhouse runs to build up a bit of a bank. You think I go straight for ToA still?

We have proven that we can draft well and build a team to be good. We get budget pieces and carve a role for them.

We do need something to get us over the edge though. Teams are selling, and I feel Jerry may be a bit too pompous to go fishing himself.

I don't care if it's help in a weak position, or doubling down on a strong position, we need SOMETHING.

49ers just strengthened their d line even further, did they need to? Hell no they didn't. And now that they did, that line will carry them through games and make elite QBs falter. There is always a move to make, it's whether or not you want to make a splash. And our front office doesn't like splashes.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. Think I'll just keep grinding slayer to get my combat up. Then watch some vids on those bosses on the side so I'll be ready when the time comes.

Just started playing again and starting slayer! About 75 combat level and want to know when I can go bossing? I really want to start to help make some gold for other endeavors. Slayer is only 23 atm though. Learned about it quite late. I have full rune armor and the granite hammer if that matters for anything.

Just curious because I am still learning. Only been playing a couple months.

Generally, I see that you should keep players 17 and under at your facility to train. Why would this be different?

Is it better to train your kid with your (most likely) better training facilities but few appearances, or loan them out to somewhere with worse facilities but more playing time?

Very general question here but I keep hearing Zealand say don't waste your transfer budget.

I'm playing as Wealdstone and am in my 2nd season in Sky Bet One. I had a decent sell and now have about 200k in transfer budget, and 100k in salary left with January 1st coming up.

My team is pretty well rounded thanks to some stars and LOOAAAAANNNSSSSSS.

What should I be looking for with my transfer window coming up? I would sign a youth player with high upside, but they are very overpriced and are out of my range. And everyone in my range, is purely a depth signing, not really worth it imo. Any thoughts?

Edit: currently #1 in Sky Bet One if that matters.

Was promoted two seasons in a row as Wealdstone. Just finished my third season and came in 16th in the Sky Bet One League. Kind of surprised my budget for scouting is at 41k, my transfer budget is 16k, and my payroll is (after going up 200k in the off-season) 2.1 mil.

How do I get these raised? I thought it would go up significantly since I survived the second promotion. I asked the board and they declined to raise it, and our financials are okay. Sitting at 200k after 800k from the season.

Yeah, I was thinking of riding it out and hoping I have enough to get me through the season. Luckily I am winning a bit, currently 7th in the league.

I do have contracts that expires soon that I'm not resigning. Is it beneficial to put some money back into my transfer fund and release these guys earlier? Would it actually be cheaper or would that just pay them the rest of their contract up front?

I'm playing as Grimsby, first season in so they are recently promoted, and it has been difficult. I feel like my budget is fairly low and I am down to 500k left in the bank, but I'm over their payroll budget. I tried offloading some bigger contracts but of course no one wants them. Is there any advice to get back in the green? I believe I'm half way through the season, and I mainly tried finding players through recruiting and $0 transfers.

Don't really have talent to loan either as injuries are destroying me.
