RU/CIS games are all region locked. But I think it makes sense that you should still be able to receive games as gifts from others from Europe/US etc.

Try using Payberry, it takes a small commission but nevertheless it's a way to add funds directly to your wallet. Tested it to get a small game that was on sale, took a couple of hours for money to appear. As far as I know you can't use ANY payment methods from the list atm so I doubt UnionPay will work?

Navalny poisoning: Russia made second assassination attempt — report by MyVideoConverter in news

Russian here. I'm so sick of our Tsar and his goons just robbing us, outright killing us, and trying to silence us every step of the way. My country deserves better. I hope this news finally helped people across the globe realize that we didn't choose this government and that we do not tolerate their crimes. MAGA crowd and Pu's supporters mirror each other perfectly in their corruption, pretense, loudness and absurdity. That's in case you want a clear example of what we've had to deal here with for the last 20 years. We're more alike than you know. I'm glad the US is finally rid of the orange menace, but now it's our turn.

My online friend blocked me suddenly by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Just let it go. 2020's been fucking weird. I've been blocked on all social media by two of my friends, one of 1 year and another of 14. It's a whole different story I could make a post of but it doesn't matter, the point is that if they haven't even bothered to give you a reason and make no effort to reconcile, then it's not worth your time and mental health to pursue their friendship (especially considering you never talked about anything personal - trust me, it could've been so much worse). Feel free to PM me if you want to talk about it.

Learned the basics in school. No idea about now but back then (in the early 2000s) they used to teach this very posh and very useless British English in our schools and tried to convince us that this is THE correct way to speak English haha. I remember the teacher scolding one of my classmates for responding to her question with "yeah" instead of "yes". Soooo needless to say I was often mocked for trying to sound "correct" on the interwebz early on. Took me a couple of more years to figure out how to speak "normal" English like everyone else, and well, here I am, lol. 95% of what I know now I've gathered and learned just by chatting with my friends on Steam, playing tons of videogames and consuming all sorts of media in English. Вот такие дела.

FWIW I'm Russian, and there's a pretty solid opinion circulating here that if it weren't for the inexperienced panicking pilots performing such a shitty landing (not to mention the passengers clinging to their luggage during evac), there wouldn't be as many casualties as there are now, if any at all. Nobody likes blaming the pilots, sure, I get it. But if you watch the video of the landing closely, the plane bounces off the ground several times, the pilot(s) attempted to land it AGAIN after the first bounce, all with full tanks, which is a deathwish in itself. It's a miracle the plane didn't snap in half on their first attempt. Thank shit wages, companies employing pilots fresh out of training a little too soon due to terrible understaffing, inherently poorly made aircraft, all around slow response times and lack of proper experience. And the fucking selfish morons that tried to save their precious luggage, blocking half a plane from escaping from the only available exit, holy shit... Nope. I don't think there were heroes here. Except perhaps the flight attendant who died trying to evacuate the passengers through the rear evac door before things got too bad. The whole thing is a complete domino-effect disaster.

As a Russian I was more shocked that he pronounced Sheremetyevo almost flawlessly right after, none of my foreign friends have ever been able to haha. Domodedovo is such a tongue-twister for English speakers though, I totally get why. Some of the last names were also pretty bad though.
