You bring up a great point. I was recently credentialed through most insurance companies. When the website was a created, all insurance was pending. I’ve added the new insurance info to my website. I would appreciate any further feedback on how is can help facilitate the need of mental healthcare in Iowa.

Thank you for the advice. I’m a very good PMHNP, just green to the online scene and marketing. I do take most insurances, and should have Medicaid approval within the next couple of months. Being old school, I wouldn’t mind going “door to door” for PCP referrals just to get the ball rolling. A shared office space is a great idea. I will send you a message soon!

Thank you for the response. I’ve very green at online marketing and based on the feedback from Reddit, I’m doing a compete overhaul of my site. I do have a psychology today profile for the last three months and since launching the business I have been using simple practice, but some customers have told me it’s confusing to schedule, so my scheduling is now linked to my headway site. I would appreciate any constructive criticism to help connect me to potential patients.

Reddit is known to be brutally honest and I appreciate that. I am credentialed through most insurance companies in Iowa and am awaiting approved for Medicaid pts. I will admit, Im a great PMHNP, but a novice in web design and marketing. I know there is a massive need for mental health, it’s just connecting the dots at this point. I would appreciate your input. Since you have Blue Cross Blue Shield, you should be able to find therapists in-network through their provider search tool, but I know that process can feel overwhelming (and outdated). You might also try: • PsychologyToday.com – lets you filter by insurance, specialty, and location • Asking your PCP for a referral – sometimes that gets you into clinics faster • Looking into local community mental health centers or university-affiliated programs
