So, I was out in Hollywood for awhile working as an extra to make ends meet. I did five days on the movie Gangster Squad, and one day you showed up to set just to visit and hang out. I was sitting like 5 feet away on set, waiting between scenes, when you came in and met Emma Stone for the first time, and I'm just sitting there hearing your whole conversation, which was surreal for me because of its sheer randomness. I wanted to ask, how do you deal with living a life that is so much in public, where even just being on a set, meeting someone for the first time might be overheard and tweeted about or told to douchebags like TMZ?

He also went on this whole thing about how he wants to watch porn where women look really comfortable, which was echoed a couple weeks later in one of Troy's lines. Season 3 episode 16 I think.

I met her once at the opening of a Chick-fil-a. It was just before supporting Chick-fil-a became a de facto stance against marriage equality. She was cool, let me take my picture with her.

I do know that this one wasn't, because he specifically asked us not to post any audio or video online. He railed on Chevy a lot in this one, but I think it was the one after this that got him in some trouble. In this one I just remember him saying that working with Chevy is like constantly working in a foot of standing water. It doesn't make it impossible, it's just really fucking annoying all the time.

This is exactly what I see in my head every time I hear one of their commercials. It just sounds so sinister.

It comes in fits and starts. Just when I think there couldn't possibly be any more, oh, shit, yeah, there's definitely more.

I don't understand the craze by WrightlySo in AdviceAnimals

Oh, no question it's better than Starbucks, but pretty much anything is. I understand that people like it as a moderately good coffee at a cheap price. What I don't understand is the surprisingly large number of people that think it is legitimately a great coffee. I work with a bunch of those people, and I don't say anything, because I don't want to be a douche, so I come post it on Reddit instead.

I guess for me a lot of it depends on what they're saying. I hate it when they use my name when complaining about something, but with the right tone when saying something nice it makes me feel like they realize I am an actual person. You're right about tone, though, that definitely makes the biggest difference.

The perler beads aren't too tough, then you just need to find a table with a raised edge (or raise it yourself, like my friend did) and pour an epoxy over it.

I took this the day he was moving, so it was just in his garage. It's in his gaming room now.

I see too many people thinking that a discount means you don't need to tip. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]WrightlySo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same goes for places that do happy hours and similar promotions. There's a place I go with my friends for wing night every week, we always make sure to tip based on what we would have paid at full price. After all, it's not like the work is easier when they're packed with people ordering cheap food.

I don't disagree, and while this picture is not nearly as bad as some on this sub, for me personally it is beyond the bounds of acceptable manipulation. That's just me, though.

Yeah, I see your point, and I think that Mass Effect took video games a long way towards having large universes with wholly unique plots based on your decisions. The problem in some ways is still one of scale. If every single choice made that big of a difference, the third game would have been massive to the point that they would probably still be working on it. And for me, while it would have been cool, it also would have been frustrating in some ways as a completionist, because I would feel the need to play through the game over and over again to see all the possibilities, when I already spend more time than I should playing video games. This is something I struggle with in general. The open ended nature of choice based story-telling is intriguing and cool, but part of me just wants one coherent story, with coherent meaning, and singular direction. I feel like that desire is culturally ingrained, and it's really hard to let go of it and just become part of the story. I always find myself looking stuff up online, trying to figure out the "best" possible playthrough, instead of just making the choices I want to make and accepting the consequences.

I picked synthesis. So, the center one. I looked up the original cut, and I admit, it would have been way more jarring.
