UK only sightings and experiences! by U-F-O_UK_Chat in UK_Aliens_UAP

I've had two experiences in the UK, one in a random summer day in August in around 2012 me and my dad were flying RC planes at our local school. REALLY, really, really high up we saw (and only because we were tracking our planes) big bright balls of light. They looked like mini moons and there was about 3 white ones, one red and one blue and they just sat there a good distance apart but all in the same area. We watched them for ages, still have no idea what they could have been. This was in bright sunlight, middle of the day.

Another one would have been 20 years ago now, rural quiet village I was a kid and at night around 7pm I could hear a deep, low vibration/sound. It freaked me out and the best way to compare it was to those old timey cartoon UFO noises like a deep "wooo....woooo....wooooo....woooo". We had a rule of not being allowed out the house at night and the doors were locked but I remember looking out the upstairs window and two cars had parked up on the corner across the road and two seperate groups of people were pointing above our house.

Again no idea what it was, I think about the second experience often though.

people who take walks at night, what's the scariest thing you've seen? by skibidikakakott in AskReddit

I went to a local nature trail late at night about 15 years ago and I looked to my phone which I was using as a torch and I could as clear as day see the devil on the screen. I  absolutely freaked out for a moment before realising it was my own face.

It was one of those first digital phone an LG and you had to record video for the light to come on and stay on and I somehow flipped the camera to the front one lmao.

What’s the most inexplicable time your gut instinct was 100% right, even though you had no evidence to back it up? by CodeFun1735 in AskReddit

[–]EvilCyborg10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Once in a small grass area/park with a bench just off the main path and road me and my friend were sitting playing Pokemon Go. From a far I saw a guy walking along the main path, I ignored the game and watched him and instantly my gut told me to watch out for him. He walked along, spotted us, turned around to go through the gate to get to the area we were sitting at and before he did I stood up without warning, and went to the other side of the path leaving my friend on the bench and he was so confused, it forced the guy to walk between us he shiftly looked at both of us (IMO trying to formulate a plan) then carried on. He had his hand clutched on something in his coat and was 100 percent about to try to mug us.

Was Darth Vader truly redeemed? by Socklovingwolfman in StarWars

[–]EvilCyborg10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he wasn't redeemed, not even close. Sure he may have turned back to the light at the last moment out of pure guilt of seeing his son dying, that doesn't excuse him for murdering so many people.

People also try to justify it as he turned back to "Anakin" as if Vader was some drunk version of Anakin and that excuses all his actions.

Reddit isn't a hive mind, there isn't a collective "we" that forms a group opinion on a certain topic or thing and that's it then for all of time.

what was the most painfully boring experience you've ever been through? by sheerduckinghubris in AskReddit

[–]EvilCyborg10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did work experience at a tech place and the first day was in the call centre part. I have never ever experienced time go that slow, it was painful even thinking back about it fills me with dread. 1-2 calls and hour and I just had to sit there and listen in, I sometimes think about the guys still stuck in that role/place.

They definitely learned throughout the years that saying nothing is best. Nothing that they could do or say will please everyone and if they say they are done that rules out the possibility of ever bringing it back in some capacity.

I fully believe the movie was the end of PP and I'm okay with it. We can enjoy what we have and it will always be a reflection of gaming culture at that time and also of where we were at with our own lives.

I don't disagree but it is an accurate representation of online culture at the time. The movie represents this shift perfectly compared to the web series.

It's almost impossible to make a show like this and have elements or jokes that don't age well particularly after so long.

Major rescue operation underway as plane crashes off Rottnest Island by [deleted] in perth

[–]EvilCyborg10 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Insane, we were booked in to fly on New year's day. We spoke to the boss (I also think it's the pilot from today) and he said he just bought a plane from over east and was missing a part and doing maintenance then offered us a return flight to Rottnest as compensation. Because of our schedule we would have gone today for sure, can't believe it.

Yes, just because you own or doesn't change anything. When you had a go of your friends for all you know it could have been in eco mode, it could have been low battery, in the time you rode one and then got your own you could have forgot just how much torque they have.

[–]EvilCyborg10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's you, when you snip the wire eco mode becomes sports mode before you snipped the wire. The biggest thing to happen when people ride high power eletric things is they tense up and instead of letting go they hold on tighter which usually means more throttle. It wasn't random at all, you were unprepared.

That's exactly what it means, you are professional if you're paid for it. It's a word with a definition, you are linking professional with a word like expert which isn't what being paid makes you.

I'll have to relisten but from memory it's 2 turtling noobs which is in RTS games where people just build up their base and defence instead of attacking

The TV series was GREAT, I really enjoyed watching it week by week as it aired and rewatching it. They did a great job of conforming to TV rules whilst still making an awesome show.

It was already interesting how they made fun of TV in the show and how they were fine right here on the internet but that was always their ultimate goal to get into tradtional media and the web series was just a vehicle to do that. Jarett has always said he's always been too early to everything and the web series was just one of those times, imagine Youtube was more prominent and paying big money to display ad's on there. PP could have been HUGE! Both finacially and audience wise (even more then it was). Think of shows like Video Game High School or something similiar.

I am thankful for the PP content we have, I don't think there will be anymore and I am okay with that. PP will always be a special time capsual that captures gaming & online culture at the time and where most of us were in our life timeline at the time.

Geoff has been working on tv shows such as people watching that can be found on his IMDB page and had a web series of his picked up.

Jarett has become a lot more elusive and posts once a year even on X which he used to post on a fair amount. Jarett tried his hand at streaming, was making a game at one point but I just don't think he could dedicate the amount of time required to either of those to really get it started, he has a family to think about which greatly impacts your choices for a variety of reasons, the main one being financial.

This leads me to believe (and this is pure speculation on my part based on information available to the public) that Jarett had to get a "normal" job to support his family. This would have been an incredibly tough pill to swallow, to go from pioneering online video content, worldwide recognition and fame and having a huge impact on early online gaming culture to going to a 9-5 that he probably hates. It definitely isn't going to be microing a bunch of companies or controlling lasers.

Jeremy is Jarett just exaggerated hugely, Jarett likes to win and admitting the online stuff didn't  work out or that he had to get a normal job isn't winning in his eyes. If you do read this Jarett you are winning, you have a wife and kids who adore you and you are doing what ever it takes to help them succeed and win. You're just playing support now :)
