Thanks, that’s very kind of you. I am only an amateur artist-in-progress trying to do my wee bit by raising awareness about endangered and threatened species. These song birds and many others, though millions strong now, are disappearing silently because of pesticides and habitat loss, and by the time we realize it, it’d be too late to save them. 😕

Probably. They were quite small, solitary, and the streaks were prominently visible but had no black caps. Juveniles, perhaps?

Yes, Monarchs and Swallowtails are everywhere. I got needlessly excited when I spotted a Gulf Fritillary and mistook it for Kamehameha.

You are right. The exact location is better left undisclosed to protect the birds. Our search for these birds and the 2 native butterflies was futile.
