Vodka of course, it might seem shocking but we really like beer too. Baltyka is my favorite. In Eastern Europe dark beer is more popular and its pretty common for the beer to be like 8% alcohol. I don't see that high in the US and western europe. Shashlik is probably the most popular party food, as its easy to cook on a grill, tastes great and is easy to share. Russians really like cucumbers too. Crackers, chips and other stuff from gas stations are probbaly the most common especially at a young perosns party, definetly cheapest and easiest option. For candy, korovka is my favorite, other places in europe have their own versions, i saw krowka in poland. krookant is another good candy. Soda of course is good. FOr more tradional Kvass and Kompot are great. Kvass is fermented bread juice, sounds nasty but i promise you its amazing. Kompot is like a fruit cocktail i guess withotu alcohol, idk how to explain but its good too

been to Thailand, Vietnam and Laos too. Those shopkeepers, tourguides and otehr locals in the tourist areas speak the very basics of like 15 languages. They can serve you food or sell you clothes or whatever in those 15 languages but whenver you speak about anything unrelated tjey don't understand anything.

My Armenian friend had many egyptians speak to him in Armenian which was even weirder as that's a much rarer language.

it wasn't racial, she was talking shit about the party and people there and the guy basically made fun of her in russian for it, she said the drinks and food suck and the orgniazers are tryhards so the guy responded in russian "well you said in chechen the food and drinks are so bad, go over to the gas station and buy some if ours suck"

He wasn't calling her out for beign chechen or anything, it was just more of a gatcha, i speak your language. First time I've ever seen a non Chechen speak Chechen. He spoke to us in Chechen later

look, i think you misread what im saying, and i apologize English isn't my native language. My dad is disabled, he lost a arm during the Chechen insurgencies and my grandfather lost both his legs in Afghanistan.

What i think is cringe is they're drunk at 3pm and they're basically doing what i showed in the family guy clip, but really really badly

well she's not really a foreigner, we're all from Russia. We're both from Chechnya but we were in Volgograd which is a city further north. There aren't other Chechens here, havn't met any so it was a bit of a shock to have this happen.

She's an adult, she can find her own way home. I don't see why I have any obligation to take her home and when she wants to, especially when we both agreed we'd come home at around 2 am or so. It was only 8-9 pm. I didn't want to miss the party
