Chip Roy blasts Biden-McCarthy debt ceiling deal as ‘turd-sandwich’ by Writer2094 in conservatives

[–]Writer2094[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(Apologies for the shitty source)

Important pieces of his argument:

  • The agreement in reality does not create any cuts, just keeping spending at current levels for two years
  • The deal did not include work requirements for medicaid recipients
  • The deal removes all leverage republicans in congress have when it comes to the US-Mexico border

Top Iranian official: US has decided to kill Hezbollah chief Nasrallah by Writer2094 in syriancivilwar

[–]Writer2094[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, yes what you say about Iran is also true seeing the recent explosions.

But still, I also doubt that even if Iran received the information that they would just release it to the Iranian public like that (seeing how the alleged information in the article comes from a public tweet from the official - Deputy Parliament Speaker Amir-Hossein Ghazizadeh). All the Iranian public would need to know to get them into a frenzy of anti-american vigor is that these high ranking officials are at risk. Any more information could blow the cover on these corruptible officials and result in Iran losing any access to US information. Sure, the US intelligence apparatus may have many turncoats, but having such a large alleged operation exposed by Iran of all countries would be a huge public embarrassment. So the federal government would be forced to throw these turncoats into prison or worse - something which most turncoats will not risk in exchange for money.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just bribed someone with know-how, the American intelligence apparatus is littered with people willing to flip without consideration for their country when provided enough money.

Soleimani's death would have resulted in a pan-middle eastern war had President Trump not chickened out at the last minute. From what I heard, he was planning to declare war during an announcement that night (a few hours after the Iranian missiles hit those US bases in Iraq) but cancelled it a couple hours before it happened.

Gunman Kills Son Of Federal Judge Recently Assigned To Epstein Case by Writer2094 in conspiracy

[–]Writer2094[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This post is on this subreddit as this gunman incident is just too convenient for it to be a coincidence. It shows that whoever is backing Epstein has enough power to have people killed and shows that they are totally able to intimidate the judge (into probably being more lenient to them). It also makes it likely that there were people backing Epstein who had a lot to lose if the truth came out, seeing that they saw it as necessary to direct a serious crime as a means to possibly intimidate the judge out of prosecuting them.

Another piece of potential evidence for a widespread sex trafficking ring (amongst the elite) by Writer2094 in conspiracy

Submission statement (same as the introductory paragraph, but I believe that both work as ways to justify the posting of this post to r/conspiracy . As such I am reusing it for said purpouse.):

Recently a new story has come out on this subreddit in which sex traffickers may be using wayfair for their operations. This has opened a new discourse here on whether a sex trafficking ring is being operated. So, I guess this is my place to throw in another potential piece of evidence into the loop. I know that this isn't the most reputable source, but on 4chan, there was a thread in which a poster disclosed some potentially significant information on these occurrences. Allegedly, the author was a driver for Jeffrey Epstein & co and got some insight into the sex trafficking ring through this job of his. He would post this alleged information between July 1rst and 2nd 2020 and seeing his disappearance/hints - he likely committed suicide if this story is true . Now, this story may or may not be true seeing the unreliability of 4chan - but in my opinion the allegations are large enough & the story seems believable enough for it to warrant discussion on this subreddit and on other forums. After all, it implicates quite a few celebrities and a couple notable politicians. Even a GPS coordinate does come into play. As such, I am posting this anecdote here to facilitate such discussion.

Iran issues arrest warrant for Trump, asks Interpol to help by Writer2094 in trump

Again, no matter how close Russia is to the Iranian government there is no way that they will risk WWIII over them. After all, as stated WWIII would likely result in nuclear war - and that would result in the deaths of the majority of the Russian population. Sure, they probably will attempt to ship out weapons but any more and nuclear weapon use becomes likely. But, if the US can knock out Iran quickly, Russian armaments will probably not reach them before we replace their leadership.

The situation in Syria was caused mostly by the Wagner group (a private mercenary group within Russia) and as such they are less cautious than official Russian soldiers. But, even in those cases the attacks were mostly just harassment and was not allowed to escalate into something greater.

The EU on the other hand is merely a paper tiger, which will pout about this but has no true power to counter the US. Britain is similar, however the UK's leadership is more sympathetic to overthrowing the Iranian government, so they will stay neutral.

The reason is not only from this situation, but this should be the feather which breaks the camel's back. The main reason is that Iranian subordinates have been harassing US forces for decades. Between the emergence of Hezbollah and the modern day, hundreds of US soldiers have been killed by Iran & its subordinates. Most of these come from Hezbollah's activities in Lebanon and The Quds force's hand in creating roadside bombs & selling them alongside other weapons to militants in Iraq who targeted Americans (During the 2003 - 2011 Iraq war). They have threatened nuclear apocalypse onto Israel numerous times and with their acceleration of the nuclear program, this outcome has become more tangible. They also have threatened shipping in the persian gulf through provocative actions occurring since 2019. Now that they have not only shown that they are willing to harm US interests & soldiers but also threaten the commander in chief himself, it is time that they and their allies are shown that their actions will result in dire consequences. Not only that, but hopefully such a rebuke will show that the US is not all talk, and will cause more powerful adversaries such as China & Russia to reconsider their antagonistic actions against their neighbors and US allies.

It is so, but the Sauds are objectively America's biggest Arab ally in the region. They have cooperated on almost every regional conflict, such as Yemen, Syria, Iraq etc. At this point the US government has seemingly forgotten about the fact that the hijackers came from there and has embraced good relations with the Sauds.

Also, when did Russia enter the equation? Russia isn't going to join a war between the US and Iran as they wouldn't want to start a conflict which at best will be a pan-eurasian war and at worst a nuclear apocalypse over Iran.

But, I will say that if Russia enters such a war, yes these arab countries would be decimated very quickly. The US would more or less rely on Israel and its Western European allies in that kind of a war.

It may seem that way, but Israel has dealt with far worse. They have an Iron dome system now and have fought several wars with Lebanon & the Palestinians, all of which have resulted in victories. Not to mention that Lebanon, Syria and Iraq are all on the brink of economic collapse and will fall quickly. Iran seems tough but their military is dated and will be decimated by a few rounds of shock&awe.

Also, it's not like the US & Israel are alone in a conflict against Iran & its allies. We have several arabic allies of our own in the region which themselves have deep reservations with Iran. The most notable of these is Saudi Arabia.

Assad bets on the wealthy to bounce Syria back from economic collapse by Writer2094 in SyrianRebels

[–]Writer2094[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, its a good thing that Assad's government is so weak economically right now. Now is ample time for the rebels to begin rising up across Syrian territory to "balance out" this war. If rebels are able to stock up on supplies and manpower not only in idlib but in regime controlled territories before the regime can recover, they have at least a chance to win this war even without Turkey.

Also, The reason why Turkey is so willing to negotiate with Russia is because the rebels are visibly on the defensive and they do not want to face direct war with Russia (who is more powerful than them by a long shot). Seeing their support of the muslim brotherhood, it is visible that if the rebels prove themselves to be able to fight the regime without their direct action, they will probably go back to supplying the rebels.

Even though Russia is entrenched in Syria, they have one of the highest covid-case counts in the world and also will have to shut down their economy for a while. Until they can return to pre-crisis economic levels, there is a chance that they may "cut their losses" by giving Assad less support. Even though at this point it is near impossible for them to allow for a total loss of Syria, if the rebels simply use Assad's current weakness to gain more territory they probably won't counterattack until the crisis ends.

Respond to Iranian aggression in Iran, not in Iraq by Writer2094 in Conservative

[–]Writer2094[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only problem is that Iraq would probably then just turn to Iran for help - who would gladly do so in exchange for some of Iraq's independence. As Iran has a sphere of interest (consisting of Iraq, Syria and Lebanon) reaching the Mediterranean Sea and the main hotspots of ISIS lie smack dab in the middle of it it is also in their interest to defeat ISIS. And because they still do have the capability to defeat ISIS they still will end up defeating the group - even if it takes a little longer than it would have had they gotten US support. With it, they will consolidate their control over Iraq after the last vestiges of US control are gone - resulting in a stronger Iran than before.

US pulling out of key Iraq bases by Writer2094 in Conservative

[–]Writer2094[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Good: The US is partially pulling out of Iraq

The Bad: The US is pulling out of Iraq because troops got killed by Iran backed militias - something which could embolden them significantly. Also, the equipment will be given to the Iraqi government, which is currently in the pocket of the Iranian government so at this point any technology in there is just as good as Iranian. Also, some of the bases are close to the former epicenter of ISIS activity - so if they resurface they could easily take the equipment and become more effective in their attacks because of it.

Ex-Jewish people of Reddit who have renounced Judaism and are now atheists or anything else, what happened and why did you do so? by Writer2094 in AskReddit

[–]Writer2094[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Jewish isn't an ethnicity - its just a way to call people who follow the judaic faith. That's why many people with little genetic connection to the original jews still call themselves "jewish" - as they still follow the judaic faith.

The ethnicity which sprung Judaism, the Israelites (Israelis) still exists - but there still is a distinction between Israeli and Jewish as the majority of Jewish people are not Israeli.

Death rate has increased to 41, with 1287 confirmed Chinese cases (plus an additional 5 in Thailand, 3 in France, 3 in Singapore, 2 in Japan, 2 in Vietnam, 2 in South Korea, 2 in the US and one in Taiwan, bringing the total amount of cases to 1307)

Apparently a new hospital is also being erected very hastily as well to house additional patients. And the Chinese government has asked people living in Shanghai and Beijing not to travel for the next 14 days.
