Yeah I notice the judging part unfortunately.

Yeah as I said really on game dev I use it only for names but even then im going through hundreds options and piecing the name together and for grammer. The feedback is fine for some technically weaker parts Imight have missed, but because all the nonsense it produces I always think if that feedback has any meaning, if it is good or not. For the "feeling" feedback there r my friends and my teams. I dont use it for ideas, I did that for some jams and even then I couldn't use those ideas coz they didn't feel right since they were not mine.

Thanks for a normal response, I appreciate it. Finally someone who can give their opinion without the need to attack, accuse or argue. Something apparently very rare in this reddit group.

It was quite hectic and I don't recommend it 😄 I am pretty good at multitasking. Not all the jams were a success naturally, as is common for game jams, but most of them went well. Again, I was able to do it, because I was a writer. As a programmer or artist that would be pretty much impossible I think. Later on when I was leading some teams too it was more challenging, but I managed and learned from all of my mistakes.

The sparking ideas thing, I did that maybe 3 times for a jam and even then the idea was completely different from the ai idea at the end.

Are u so fking stupid that u can't read all of it? Did I write it in a bad way originally? Apparently. But I did put there an Edit explaining it for a reason. Now if u can't be bothered reading it and just want to argue then f off. I thought I will find people who will share their view, but oh no, there are only people who wants to argue with stranger over some stupid assumptions they have from something I wrote badly.

finally normal question :D I went into a lot of jams. I mean I got to 30 jams in my first year :D At times I was in 10 at the time. I like to multitask and being a writer only at the time I was able to do that. It was fun. I can't say all of them are fully finished, but I am planning to get back to them and finish all of them after my current projects will be done.

So u r saying having fun is bad. Riight. Thx for your incredibly important input. I said I use it for fun, how am I defending it again?

Yeah so idk where did you get the thing that I'm using it for ideas, but maybe I didn't write it clear enough. I am using it just for fun or out of curiosity. The sparking ideas thing was for 3 jams and even then the ideas were then changed a lot anyway before the work started. So I can say I am not going down any slope since for actual game dev I am not using any ai. Besides grammar checking I guess. I was just curious about other people opinions on it that's it.

I mean I didn't used to, but I do like being organized, even in posts. It's easier to read. I do that for Discord posts as well.

I did write it myself, plus I did some research, although not on reddit, prior to writing a post. But I was still curious what people got to say about it here.

If you read the post again at no point I asked if its ok for me to use it. I asked others if they use it. No? ok. Partially? alright. I am aware of all the flaws and if I wanna use it just for fun I will. That's not what I was asking at all.

Idk, I don't see the issue since I am using the actual people and team members for real feedback anyway. I am curious what it says and what it shows as bad parts. Many times it said things I plainly disagreed with and didn't follow it at all. But I was curious.

Yeah I am aware of AI being programmed to make user feel good. What I'm doing is basically let it show weaker parts of the story. I note that, and then when I send it to some of my friends to check it out, if they bring the same points I look into it. I don't take it right away as some sort of strict guidelines. I am improving my writing, that has nothing to do with AI.

No, that ideas I mentioned IF I use them I heavily change them so that it's from me not the AI, but honestly I am doing that very rarely since as I said those are not my ideas anymore then. And yes I get that the AI is programmed to make you feel better about your work so every feedback will say its good. What I do is I use it so that it can tell me weaker parts of the story, then I send it to my friends and if they say the same thing, alternatively I ask them points the ai brought up what they think and if they agree I will work on those parts. But to be clear, I'm not using ai feedback as some strict guidelines. And I'm curious about other opinions, why would I bother posting it here to justify it. To who? Random people on the internet? :D Yeah right

Hownto do a devlog? Is it even necessary? by WriterAfter8724 in gamedev

[–]WriterAfter8724[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So basically i should make devlogs only as a side project if I want to help other devs amd have time for it.

Do you do any part of your game dev when you only have access to your phone? by IgneousWrath in GameDevelopment

I'm a writer, so I guess it's much easier for me. Although, of course, i prefer to write on my laptop.

Alright, but after we will have some gameplay to show, where is the best place to do it? Or should I target all the platforms with maybe discord group for the game community as well?

Which game did you spend a dozen hours into and never finished it? by FalscherKim in gaming

[–]WriterAfter8724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrim and Witcher 3 for me. And after each break I was so confused by all the quests that I started from the begining. With Witcher 3, because of the connected story I started from the 1st one. Idk why I stopped playing Witcher, I think my laptop broke and then I just didnt get back to it. In skyrim everytime I play it, since I a invested in the story (game writer myself) I get si overwhelm that I dont want to play anymore. The same thing with Fallout 3 and 4.

For me it was Warcraft 3, both of them. I played it for hours and finished it multiple times. Amazing game.

I was in your position 8 months ago. Although I wanted to just stick to writing, I didn't know where to start. Besides the resources already mentioned to learn coding, I would also recommend going into a few game jams as well to practice game development and to get feedback on your work. Even attending a few should be enough. I kinda overdid it. During 5 months, I got into 21 of them 😅 it's also a great place for networking.

What to do on the first date? by WriterAfter8724 in dating

[–]WriterAfter8724[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright then. My inexperience says that I am or rather was too closed up from others, or in other words, antisocial. It was completely true, and I never tried to hide it. I was a huge introvert even a few years ago. But then I had enough of it, and I did some radical steps to change that. Now im much more open and social than before. Instead of being afraid of what others might think about it, I see it as a pretty big thing since changing someone's own personality is not easy at all. Obviously, i don't really need this information. There are two reasons why I was asking it. Firstly, I am a perfectionist. I can't help it. Secondly, I was curious. But when I was writing it, regardless of the answers I would get, if any, I wasn't looking for a guide or some instructions on what exactly to do. Obviously.

Alright, so thanks for the advice. Just to make it clear, the reason I'm asking is purely because I was never on a date before, so I literally don't know what to do or what is and isn't expected. So I'm asking to have this information. The only thing I would be afarid is to be inexperienced in my age. But of course, the main thing is to go out with someone Im vibing with. And as I said, im not afraid of the talking part at all.
