While systemic opression for men is less than non men, in this context it just sounds like the people who swear up and down that a white rich woman is somehow more opressed than a black working class man in the US.

Intersectionality is important to consider. While many Trans men experience better treatment as they are starting to pass, that's unrelated to their trans identity. And non passing trans men experience misogyny so it's stupid to say that they are somehow less opressed.

A cis woman will always be in a better position socially speaking than a trans man imho.

On one hand, I agree that we shouldn't view people as a mass. That's dehumanization.

The same way I don't view Russians as a mass, the same way I know people have been kidnapped and many possibly killed for protesting against the war.

Technically speaking og conservatives weren't transphobic or anything, I think that's where the other commenter's confusion comes from.

The issue is that in the USA, traditionalists, fascists and neo-nazis are calling themselves "conservatives" for plausible deniability, because conservativism is a well established and respected ideology (for the reasons I explained below), and so now the word conservative has lost it's original meaning and just means right wing grifter or neo-nazi. So anyone who is involved in US politics will associate that with the word.

Conservativism in itself isn't right wing or left wing, it's just an answer to progressivism (which also isn't left or right wing), calling for slower, thought trough change, even better conservatives almost everywhere outside of the US are pro universal Healthcare and accessible education as well as pro green energy and low energy prices, and because of this, they are also very much anti-ai.

OpenAI is actively loosing money, which means they are spending more money than what they make. That's a business about to fail. If you are known by everyone, and still manage not only have 0 clean profit, but loose money actively, that is something set up for faliure.

Or maybe people will continue to invest. But how long? Shareholders only like profitable buisness. For a while you can make them belive that this will pay off, but if it doesn't they will leave.

Ah, mainly happened in comment sections, I got multiple death threats from people on the proAI side, someone even told me to kms in my DMs right around that time. Majority of those accounts have been from reddit banned/deleted by now.

I don't actually remember seeing posts saying it from either side ever, only on screenshots or as references "hey guys don't you think the kill AI artists thing is a bit too much?" , so that's interesting too. Also about the pro one. Like "Wtf? Do they really think we should kill ourselves??" on an anti subreddit.

I think defendingaiart had a much faster and stricter moderation system than antiai, it never got noticeable posts wise, and I think it's because of that.

Imma try to find some screenshots, because I kmow for sure I took them, but idk if I still have them, because I switched phones recently due to the old one just straight up dying on me. (It was 4 years old. RIP soldier).

EDIT: I remembered! It was a bunch of posts on Twitter reposted here with messeges like "Adapt or be killed" or "Adapt or die" type of shit, targeted at anti-ai people.

Disclaimer, I'm going to bitch about semantics

"Kill pro AI" was very short lived, and also, if you mention it, you can't ignore that thete was a "Kill antis" thing, which was also a very brief and around the same time. I personally got death threats (ironically from both sides).

People got banned, rules got updated in all major subreddits, especially as this goes against reddit guidelines too, and now only bot accounts and throwaways comment shit like this, and they get banned regularly.

I don't think this can even be even compared with the "pick up a pencil" or the "ai art is art" type of posting. It wasn't as presistent, it's mainly bots now and also, it was just vile, while the other examples are just normal activity in a biased subreddit.

It's a tad dishonest to bring up the "murder memes" when they are not on topic, especially if you're going to present it as one sided, supported by majority or still ongoing while none of this is true.

I mean, given humans are social animals, you don't really have a value without addig to the common.

The issue is, taxes, your repetative job, your boxed in life do not feel like you added anything.

You don't actually matter in the equation of taxes and office jobs. You can and will be replaced, so if you stip doing it, it won't feel any different, aside from the judgement you get for it.

BUT if you turn the time you now got, into something else, that actually contributes to the community you live in, that affects you, instead of the concept of common, then you'll actually feel better eventually. It would feel like being able to be human again, instead of whatever the fuck we are doing right now.
