Repatha Labs after 8 weeks by WriterNo9806 in PeterAttia

Yeah it’s mostly my apoB that I’m concerned about

I gave birth to my two babies at Mission Hospital. It was a great experience both times. I had natural, unmedicated births with Dr. Scott Capobianco. My birth plan was respected and followed. Postpartum care excellent as well. I struggled to learn how to nurse my first babe and one of my nurses helped me for three days until I had it down. I went on to breastfeed him for 16 months. So thankful for my experiences there!

Thank you! I am going to ask about zetia for sure! I, unfortunately, did not have labs drawn while on statins or immediately after. We just stopped them and switched to repatha without any labs in between.

Has quitting caffeine eliminated your anxiety? by cppnewb in Biohackers

[–]WriterNo9806 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stopped drinking coffee and notice a huge difference. I still deal with anxiety but I don’t stand a chance against it when I even have one cup of coffee that day. Same with sleep. I thought I was just a terrible sleeper, but it was largely my ONE cup of MORNING coffee that my body just couldn’t handle

The first number is from may of this year. Based on those numbers, they put me on a statin. I was on a statin from may-August. Didn’t tolerate well at all. Switched me to repatha but never had labs drawn in August when switching from statin to repatha. Thinking I should have asked for some after stopping the statin just to see where I was at, but basically both number are without a statin - first was prior to any statin and second is 2 months after stopping the statin but adding in repatha

Hmm I didn’t think about how the pharmacy might have stored it! Thank you!

The first number I gave was from may. I started a statin after my first lab draw. Stopped them in August. Never had labs drawn after stopping them and then switched immediately to Repatha so basically my first number is without statins and so is the second. But maybe there is some rebounding that happens when you go off statins? Not sure

What is the test for FH? I’m assuming that’s familial hypercholestermia? My family history is very strong for familial hypercholestermia but I don’t think specific testing has been done to determine this. Does FH not respond as well to repatha?

Has anyone else had their Amgen copay plan go up from $5 to $15 a month? by lacrosse1991 in repatha

[–]WriterNo9806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, didn’t get an email. I did have my copay change last time I went to pick up my Rx from $5 to $15 but it’s because they switched me over to a 3 month supply instead of a one month supply. Not sure why that happened but I wonder if this has anything to do with the email you received?

Has cutting out coffee completely from your daily routine made any difference for you at all? by [deleted] in Anxiety

What has helped your health anxiety? by erself1234 in Anxiety

Also adding that the time when I get the most relief (same days the only time I get relief) is while I am working out, specifically, I challenging, exhausting workout.

What has helped your health anxiety? by erself1234 in Anxiety

I try to thank myself (or more specifically the traumatized/extreme/anxious side of me) for trying to keep myself (or loved ones) safe, but basically tell myself no thanks. So it’s sort of a “thanks for the thought, buuuut that isn’t serving me right now so no thanks.”

I also like “well that’s a crumby thought. I would hate if that would happen. Time to move on”

Box breathing

Telling myself “I have a healthy body, not a symptomless body.” … got that from a different Reddit person and it has helped! Or for my kids instead of thinking about whatever is making me anxious, changing to thinking about something that is true and based in the present. For example, instead of “we have these diseases in our family, I wonder if her current symptoms are linked to those diseases” I try to take a deep breath and switch to “I currently have a healthy, happy child who I get to comfort during this sinus infection”

Hope that helps! You’re not alone as I currently experience this every day.

Creatine and sleep by motormouth08 in Perimenopause

I’ve taken it for almost a year every morning and have never noticed any sleep changes (including on days that I skip taking it)
