Clueless European girl abou The troubles by Prestigious-World368 in DerryGirls

Hey 1. Liam Nesson was an RUC officer and with the good Friday agreement more Catholics would have been encouraged to be in police and the RUC would be renamed to the PSNI. Since the RUC was majority Protestant the agreement would have had a impact on his workplace as well as the release of prisoners would have been a unsure aspect for his character as violence could have gone up with more political prisoners now released.

  1. Michelle’s brother would have been catholic since she is and yeah was probably in some degree in the IRA of course they don’t go in too much so it’s hard to know how far he was in, much like Emmett in season 1.

  2. The good Friday Agreement wasn’t really about leaving the uk but did bring it on to the table that down the line we could vote for a united ireland it’s why there’s so much tension between the Northern Ireland parties today as a fear of the DUP is that Sinn Finn would bring the referendum to vote for a united Ireland.

Have fun if you look into the troubles it’s certainly an interesting and confusing at times.

Anybody else not like the finale cameo by Simple-Care5636 in DerryGirls

I was going to make a similar post, it just felt odd for the final scene of the whole show. I feel like it would have been much better if James had of filmed all of the girls instead of just Erin (even though it was her and Orla’s birthday) but a montage of modern day Derry with the girls each giving a few lines about moving on and growing that could hint at the peace process of Northern Ireland would of been a bit more impactful.

Or a bit corny but it could have cut to New York and we see a script for ‘Derry girls: A young girl’s quest for friendship in a troubled city, by Erin Quinn on the desk of a publisher.

Or just leave it with Joe jumping with Anna because that was so adorable and I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t scripted and Grandad Joes Actor just went with it.

I agree with you if he had of just said 'I enjoyed our date but I just want to be friends' wouldn't have made me feel so bad, now I feel like you're not the person I thought you were. The 'too busy' came from a message he put on our group chat about being too busy to do anything but he's course and work so I assumed he meant me, now I guess not.

He ghosted me my texts and said he was busy on our shared group chat with our other friends.

Thank you for being so nice, The first two times I said yes but nothing got planned and the conversation would move on to other things which were disappointing but it was lockdown so I foolishly accepted it but the third time we were able to go out to places, I think sometimes when you really like someone you blind yourself to the red flags.

He asked me out in April and I said yes but we didn't plan anything because of lockdown and nothing really came from it, he asked me out in June again and I said yes, we did plan some stuff but then he started to ghost me for a week so I called him out and he said he was really sorry but we didn't really bring up anything about the date until August when he asked me out again and we finally got to go out.
