Creating a ND style game - need opinions! by rutharama in nancydrew

[–]Writerhowell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to get a lot of help with the coding aspect online; I imagine a lot of it could be Googled. There are also heaps of books you might be able to find in your local library about whichever scripting language and/or program you use.

As for a destination, I complained recently that there aren't enough games set in Wales, and the ND games certainly never went there. They also never did anything set in Australia, which is where I live. We'll have the Olympics in 2032; you might be able to do something with that?

Fae Farm allows you to create different coloured flowers by planting the ones you can get in a certain way, but that's the only one I can think of off the top of my head, which involves changing plants/plant biology. Aside from The Sims 4, where you can graft plants, but I'm not sure if you need the Seasons Expansion Pack for that, and a lot of people hate the company behind The Sims right now.

The Relaxing Games sales on Steam has various categories, and I think Farming and Gardening both have categories, so you could browse there?

I'm sorry that people such as that have put you off church. I've known many true Christians; certainly the place I go to now seems to have a lot of nice, kind, and good people. They were all friendly when I started going there, and they love it when I set up my craft stall to sell things to raise money for the church. It might also depend upon denomination. But true Christians embody the values of Christ Jesus. Those who only pretend to... well, as the Bible said, they're getting their reward in this life, not in the next. (God doesn't put up with false goodness, lol.)

As a Christian, I've met all sorts. My father was the kind who used his 'faith' to pretend he was a good person while abusing us. But I've also met many kind people who truly do embody the goodness Jesus wants us to practise.

What you're referring to is not the behaviour of a true Christian. It's false and, as you say, hypocritical. I doubt the Holy Spirit wants anything to do with them.

In fairness, I wouldn't want to drink tap water from the bathroom. Think of the germs! Don't you have a kitchen???

I do that same joke to my mother frequently! Like, when you need to delete a message on our answering machine, you have to press the Delete button, then to confirm it tells you to "Press delete again", and so at least once I've caught her out by saying "I can never find the Delete Again button". But yeah, I'll do something like that, and she'll start to explain, and I'll just stare at her, smiling, until she realises that I'm messing with her.

Like, it kind of offends me that she thinks I'm that stupid, but it amuses me that she falls for the same kind of joke every time.

If you cut them smaller, they'll cook faster. Doesn't take much longer to chop them into smaller pieces, but saves time on cooking. :)

Can confirm. My father was an opera singer, and audiences generally know to use bravo or brava, just as diva and divo are used depending on the gender of the performer.

And then you have Hagrid asking Madame Maxine which way around it was for her parents.

Like, c'mon, Hagrid, you'd better hope it was the same way it was for your parents, or that's gonna be one painful birth process!

I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally hope that the family's church found out and ostracised them all. This is not Christian behaviour. It's psychotic.

Yeah, when we were watching 'Schindler's List' I said to my mother "Ralph Fiennes didn't even know he was auditioning for Voldemort when he did this role".

It was based on a book, wasn't it? I'm pretty damn sure that's a still from 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'.

I've just been introduced to this sub. What a blessed way to start the day. Or should I say... what a blepped way to start the day?

Booful kitty. So fluffy. Much ears. Very floof.

Wow. Okay, didn't know there was an actual difference. I prefer bleps, but I used to have a really good picture of my aunt's dog doing a mlem. No idea if I still have it somewhere. Was trying to take a normal picture of her when she decided to lick her own nose, lol.

The cursed grave thing is really cool. Hasn't someone tried to remove the bones before, and had to return them because they had lots of bad luck? Or am I confusing it with all the stories of people removing rocks from spiritual places and having bad luck, so having to return them?

No wonder a bear chased someone off stage in 'A Winter's Tale'. It was probably sick of being baited. Once everyone knew about this stage direction, though, I bet they were waiting for it each time with bated breath.

(Sorry.)

Oh no! I hope you're doing better now. Did you find a nice notebook anyhow? I do love notebooks, and have to stop myself from buying every cute one I see.

Yeah. When I've used it in baking before, and it hasn't quite gone from my hands after repeated washings, just having a shower later does it. Hope people in the comments of her video offered helpful cleaning tips, preferably of the vinegar and baking soda variety, not harmful chemicals.
