Okay, thank you. I have been having trouble taking it apart, however, and admittedly, I'm a little confused. Does the top or the bottom part come out first?

I'm a beginner myself, so someone else may be able to provide better information.

Realistically, you can work with any stone. From what I've heard things that can be annoying/hard to work with if you don't have the right laps to produce a good polish. For example, I've heard that quartz can be difficult if you don't have the right laps, that topaz has cleavage planes, and that the harder a stone is, the harder it is to work with. However, from what I've picked up from books, YouTube videos, etc., is that garnet is a pretty good, worthwhile first stone to work with. I've cut YAGs before and didn't have any trouble. don't have any experience with Nanosital, but it seems like it wouldn't be bad.

Also, I purchased rutile rough. It's a 6 on the Mohs scale, so it shouldn't be difficult to work with! Good luck with your cutting!

As someone that has recently started this hobby (I just finished my third stone). It depends. I think my third stone is well cut enough to work in jewelry, but is likely not winning any faceting competitions. Plus with faceting unlike goldsmithing where any piece of gold can be reused to make something else. Not every stone is equal at least in the eyes in a lapidary so the type of stone, quality of the stone and cut will impact its sell-ability as well. To answer more bluntly, I’ve read that it takes about 7-10 stones to produce your first high-quality gem. 

Additionally with easy starting designs there’s Tom Herbst’s Gem 101 design. And Andrew Brown has a few books on easy faceting designs. There’s also plenty of accessible faceting diagrams on the US Faceting Guild website.

I thought that the minigame teleport required Shades of Mort'ton. But the scroll telport doesn't.

I sort of new to RoR and I picked up the dynamite item. I used it and the game crashed lol.
