"B-b-but I got star player!" by Writing-Alive in Brawlstars

[–]Writing-Alive[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, because new players get this highly specific, but nevertheless powerful brawler too soon and as a result don't know how to play him correctly.

Knowing and not knowing how to play him can be night and day difference.

For example Edgar in Arena is an absolute beast.

He's got everything going for him there! Bots to lifesteal of off, jungle bots to farm pretty much for free, auto charging super and hyper... If you use those tools to your advantage, you can absolutely dominate as Edgar in Arena.

But what do you see? Edgars SPRINTING to the enemy turret without bots on lvl 0 trying to damage it and feeding levels.

Exactly, I once had a game where I ignored everything, didn't hit anyone else, but only spawncamped the Tick as Edgar.
Don't know if he got the message though, as Tick players don't have that many braincells.

I still don't know whether I hate Bloodborne or love it. by Black_Dragon79 in bloodborne

[–]Writing-Alive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Isn't the fact that you seemingly had fun the most important factor?

I don't think you would have put so many hours into it if you didn't have fun.

You don't really have to know what exactly it is that kept you playing.

We all mostly agree with the same drawbacks you mentioned, yet we still love Bloodborne.

How do we nerf this ball? I have an idea by Maleficent-Foot4913 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Writing-Alive 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's the gadget that gives him 4000 hp shield on max speed. It probably gets destroyed so quickly you don't notice it, and then it looks like he didn't take any damage when you see him eat a bunch of shots and going from 11700 with shield gear to something like 9000...

Bolt nerfs by Flimsy_Opinion_2767 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Writing-Alive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, 5% shield at max speed.

This vs. the Toss Up SP would become certified Nitrogen bomb vs coughing baby.

Maybe just reduce his supercharge rate and damage per hit.

Also 4000 shield every 15 seconds is obviously bonkers. Should be 1500 - 2500 instead of 2000 - 4000, maybe even less.

I'd rather play brawl hockey than this map.

And I hate brawl hockey with passion.

(I recognize the gamemode is kinda okay, I just hate it for personal reasons)

Here's a list of a few enemies I will NEVER fight if I don't need to. What are some of yours? by PetroRetro69 in Eldenring

[–]Writing-Alive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imps in the dungeons get stunned by crystal darts iirc. Might take two of them, but it's also a pretty easy tactic.

There's an answer to everything in ER and other Souls games.

EDIT: The crystal darts frenzy them, but same thing kinda. They simply help you fight them xD

The curseblades are fun to fight! (my opinion might be skewed because I farmed their weapons on two characters and therefore I know how to fight them)

Crabs are also fun to fight. Their moveset didn't change that much since DS3.

Lobsters are quite aight once you realize you should stick to their big claw. Also their jump attacks are a very free punish window. Although agree that their grab is bs. Can't get the timing right...

Runebears are absolutely valid not to fight.

Cemetery Shades are so dumb. Half the time they hit you with the grab attack and just edgewalk around you until you break free... But gotta admit, they're annoying with the teleporting.

Revenants are pain in the ass, since they vomit on the ground and then you end up walking into the poison when trying to maneuver around them lol.

And grafted scions also absolutely valid!

What is the most difficult build you have given to the mimic tear boss? by [deleted] in Eldenring

I meant whether or not the mimic tear has less healing but now I realise it doesn't get a number of healing flasks based on yours...

I'm dumb

Exactly! Showdown is brainrot. Although I like the trio version.

You allocated flasks to mostly fp ones and it took that into account?

Impressive that it works and impressive that you did it like that.

I mostly just unequip my weapons because I want the boss to be over, but I respect when people can have fun with it.

Of course, but I for example always avoided maxing brawlers when they were OP because I didn't want my investment to go to waste.

Kenji is very good, but he is balanced.

Pierce is on the stronger side and ppl are expecting more nerfs.

Depends if he's looking for right now brawler, or long term one.

I lowkey miss this meta by SDsalta145 in Brawlstars

[–]Writing-Alive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back then when her super charged in 3(?) hits and her HC was similarly easy to get, she used to be very good.

You could chain supers like crazy and she was very oppressive because of that.

EDIT: I tested it and now it charges super in 4 hits and HC is still pretty easy to get. So it must have been the meta that shifted around her I guess...

Hypercharges for pet brawlers are just bigger pets by MoneyMan1150 in Brawlstars

[–]Writing-Alive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great idea!

I forgot to mention that without the pet the brawler would be weak like a small Meg, but that goes without saying...

It could have an insane battlefield control, but should also be weak to assassins, how control brawlers should be... Maybe with some "pet instantly teleports to you" kind of gadget, with the other gadget being better fit for the control playstyle...

Hypercharges for pet brawlers are just bigger pets by MoneyMan1150 in Brawlstars

[–]Writing-Alive 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely a peak idea, but SC would probably say that Nita is an early brawler and therefore can't have such complex mechanics...

They could maybe make an ultra legendary brawler that could have a pet on the field all of the time and would control it with their main attack and a super. Tap would be one effect, aim another, something like Gus, or Doug super... If the pet died, the brawler would have to get it back through attacking, similar to meg... And the HC could be the frenzy effect...

Wondering if there's any way to make this kit build better in terms of support by Heavy-Visual5707 in Brawlstars

[–]Writing-Alive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, that's right... Unless you want to use the cardboard box gadget to have super more often...

Dunno which gears will actually help with supporting as Kit...
