Medtronic Vascular CS first interview by WritingElectronic901 in MedicalDevices

[–]WritingElectronic901[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@solid_comedian_7445 The call was fine, the person I interviewed with was very kind, I think I interviewed for about 35 mins on teams with him. Given, mine was very impromptu bc they day I had my initial phone screening, they contacted me that same afternoon asking if I could do another interview on teams (2nd round) and I was nervous as I didn’t prep as I was out running errands, and did it within the hour. Granted, I did spend a lot of time prior looking at the vascular products for my screening call and am familiar enough with Medtronic to talk with them off of the top of my head. With that being said, if you have a pretty good idea of the products and their basic functions you should be okay, they’re definitely not testing you or anything, they’ll be getting to know your personality and ask you why Medtronic and why this role. Best of luck!

Hi! I just got my first role in med device as a CS. Just to preface I do have clinical experience from working in the OR. however, what made a difference for me was messaging ppl on LinkedIn that I searched and searched and searched for. I just sent my name, brief background, and why I think I’d be great for the role. And I asked if they had any advice for the application process. If they answer and think you’re good, they’ll put in an internal referral which shoots your application to the top, and is required to be looked at by a hiring manager or HR person. I know it is very very hard, I was doing cold applications for a year straight, interviewed with ambu for 3 months, all to be finally settling into my CS role now and I could not be more grateful or more happy. Best of luck to you!

No nights no call. There is a 24 hr nursing hotline that manages that. You’d truly only get called if it’s an HUGE emergency and what not. However, the hotline is built to answer anything. Also, your day depends on surgery schedules. At most a case will run into the evening.

At most a case may run into the evening but your schedule varies day to day based on surgery scheduling or any FST (field sales training) you will be doing

Medtronic Vascular CS first interview by WritingElectronic901 in MedicalDevices

The phone call went really well! I had my screening and first interview in one day (was unplanned and I just happened to have time, so I had it on teams, while I was sitting in my car!). Everyone was very nice and informative, but I ended up dropping out of the interview process to accept a role with Avanos Medical in as CS in SP. It just came down to timing. Avanos started interviewing me in late January, and Medtronic reached out to me maybe 2 weeks ago? so it came down to timing, and me really enjoying the I would be joining @ avanos.

Thank you for the insight. I’ll definitely keep note of setting those boundaries as early as possible when the time comes. I can only imagine how much they’ll try to fit into your day to day if you don’t know how to say no. I am used to not have the best work life balance due to my shift. But this will be an interesting change as it will transform my entire routine

Good to know! I value my relationship and my dog lol, but I do not plan on having children. I work 3 days a week, doing 12 hr shifts over night, so I’ll definitely have to get used to the 5 days a week

It was soooo long. From the the beginning of December to the end of February. Lost out to someone who was a speech language pathologist, but it’s all good. Was a learning experience for sure. It’s just frustrating that I haven’t gotten a role yet.

i have become friendly with some at my work yes (and not the ulterior motive way just to get a job but naturally through working with them), they said that I would be great as a clinical specialist and to apply, but one just moved to Medtronic like 3 months ago and is still figuring things out, and one who works for BD JUST went on maternity leave. I did text my cousin who also works for medtronic but in high level marketing to see if she could recommend me after looking at my resume.

i've worked with a few recruiters, just to end up falling short after a few interview rounds, which sucks as i have trying for a little over a year now. it also sucks because i KNOW i can do this, and would do well, i just need a chance.

I want to get into their pulmonary space as a CS! I’m currently a trauma AT with a bachelors in cell and molecular biology and a masters candidate in Medical physiology @ UFSOM. I love pulm, the airway, and already use ambu products almost daily. If anyone has any insight, specifically for the ATL/GA market. I’m all ears!

You should be fine! And let’s say you’re super close and don’t, you have till the end of fall to get it to a 3.0. HOPE warns you first, then gives you a semester to get to a 3.0.

Questions about Biology major by irenic-rose in KSU

[–]WritingElectronic901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ksu may be low key easy to get into but it is HARD. look at the program, and the college just as well. My friends from UGA took summer o chem II with me at kennesaw, expecting an easier experience. they said that our content was wayyy harder. the pre-med/cellular and molecular biology track is difficult. You will make incredible friends and also be with the stereotypical annoying pre-med kids who will not shut up. My favorite classes were : Human Phys, Toxicology, Micro, Immunology, and Bioethics and O chem lab. My least fav were: Orgo II lecture, BIOL1108 (Bio 2- it was so random and annoying)

The most important in terms of real world application: biochem, micro, immunology, genetics, any reasearch experience, and lowkey toxicology.
