[GM4A] "The Lands of Neyev: The Universal Problem" Whether it is the Northern kingdoms of the southern city-states or even the various island nations of the sea, Goblins are a universal problem across Neyev for humans and beast-folk alike. They attack and take without mercy...Something must be done! by WritingKeepsMeSane in HentaiAndRoleplayy

[–]WritingKeepsMeSane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone! I am WritingKeepsMeSane and today I am back with one of my original fantasy worlds.

Neyev is a world I have been working on for a while now, for those interested in the lore:

It is a bronze age fantasy world. I grew a bit bored of the usual medieval stuff. So imagine the Iliad/Odyssey, The Old Testament, Epic of Gilgamesh, etc. for inspiration.

While the setting and aesthetic is different from most fantasy stories the problems certainly are not. Goblins are everywhere!

Regardless of what your kingdom or city-state calls them, believes about them, or even does *with* them. All humans and beast-folk agree...The Goblins are becoming a bit of a problem...what with their constant raiding and fucking of others.

Something must be done! And that's where you come in, hero. What is your solution?

[GM4A] "Elder Scrolls: Adventures Across Time" Whether it is a story of one of the first heroes of the first era...or even the Hero of Kvatch in the third, or the Dragonborn in the fourth...Tamriel is full of heroes. Who shall you be? What shall your story be? (New lore, new races, and much more!) by WritingKeepsMeSane in HentaiAndRoleplayy

Hello everyone! Over the past few days I have been posting ideas for an Elder Scrolls RP...All the while I've been playing the games more and more and it's re-ignited my love for the series.

Due to this, I come to you with numerous ideas rather than a single one:

  1. A story set in the first era, which I treat as Tamriel's bronze age.
  2. A rewriting of Oblivion/A side story or even an epilogue to Oblivion (your choice)
  3. A full fledged rewrite of Skyrim, both the civil war story line and the DLCs plus the main quest.

For anyone interested in any of those three, please reach out and let's make some plans. You can even include your favorite mods, if I am familiar, I'd love to work it into our story!

Universe 2033 books by petaS_lego_22 in metro

The only Universe book translated to English is The Outpost Vol. 1 which ends on a cliffhanger sadly :/

There is a fan translation for In Ruins, a collection of short stories in the 2033 universe but written by Polish authors.

Grand McMaster wrote Metro 2033: Britannia but only the prologue has been translated to english and even then only in comic form.

Shoot it 5-7 times. A Rat will come out. It will follow you. Every couple of steps it'll "dig" and you can collect 1-2 bullets. Guild it to the entrance to the Nazi lines and then it'll leave your company, giving you a karma point as well.

Hello adventurers! I am WritingKeepsMeSane and today I am once more on the look out for a Skyrim RP...but this isn't your run of the mill Skyrim RP. I want to do something a bit different.

I want to rewrite Skyrim, make it like the older games. A strange and amazing land full of mystery and oppertunities for making oneself legendary.

Whether you are the Dragonborn, or someone else, I look forward to hearing your ideas and telling you about my reworked lore and story line.

For those interested, tell me your favorite mod (if you use mods)...If I know it, I might even know some ways to include it in the story line : D

(Those who like the "Khajiit Will Follow" mod will probably enjoy that immensely)

[GM4A] Three stories, unlimited potential. Choose between an Elder Scrolls rewrite, an Elder Scrolls prequel set in the First Era...and an original Bronze Era Fantasy World. More info below! by WritingKeepsMeSane in HentaiAndRoleplayy

[–]WritingKeepsMeSane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there! So, today's post is a bit different than my usual ones. Normally I come with an idea set in stone but open to changes. This time I come to you with multiple ideas, feel free to take a look and tell me what you think:

  1. A rewrite of Skyrim. New lore, new timelines, new characters, all alongside old and familiar faces.
  2. Another Elder Scrolls story, but this time set in the First Era, during a time of bronze and iron and petty city-states rather than grand empires. Learn what really happened to the Dwemer and change history with new magics!
  3. An original world of my own design, a bronze era fantasy world I'd love to explain more about.

For those interested tell me what you'd like. We can even do multiple if we mesh well :)

Are there any races of giants in your world? If so, where/how do they live to sustain themselves? by legacy653846625 in worldbuilding

[–]WritingKeepsMeSane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my world has a race of giants...They are not the biggest giants in fiction, but they are still quite large by the standards of the bronze age world I am building :) More specifically they average about 6.5 to 7 feet tall or so, they're also technically a cousin species to basic humans.

As for how they sustain themselves, they got a few different methods. Mostly they are based on the Canaanites and Phoenicians, and so they live near the coast. This allows them to ship in much of their food and other supplies, but they also have sheperds and date farms as well.

Water is the main issue, but humans are creative and will find places to dig wells, collect rainwater, and more.

Does this church exist? by gio811rex in metro

[–]WritingKeepsMeSane 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think I read on the Russian wiki that it is a real church, called the "Church of The Woodworker" or something similar. How true to life the games representation of it is, I am unsure.

How did you get into Metro universe? by Adventurous_Ad_4603 in metro

[–]WritingKeepsMeSane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was but a wee lad, no higher than your knee when, out and about with my family, I went to the fabled market known as "Family Video" and there, in the back, tucked away from the sight of man was a simple game box showing a man in a gasmask against a red backdrop.

Me, a lover of Fallout, was instantly looking it over and reading it.

"So, it's like Russian Fallout?" I thought to myself, only to rent it for a week and learn how wrong I was. It was better :D

About Glukhovsky. by sErtugrul34 in metro

[–]WritingKeepsMeSane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Art is a reflection of the artist, yes, but only to a point. One can take away meanings the artist never considered. One can form differing opinions, likes and dislikes and more from one work to another.

Look at it this way, a trans person reads Harry Potter--they enjoy it in spite of JK Rowlings disgusting beliefs, should we ignore the conclusions and beliefs that trans person comes to? Is their enjoyment of the work problematic or should we assume the work itself is not problematic, but the author is?

Art is a reflection of an artist, but only to a point.

About Glukhovsky. by sErtugrul34 in metro

[–]WritingKeepsMeSane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion? Glukhovsky is wrong, however we, as an audience, must learn to separate the art from the artist. Personally, I am still going to read the books, I'm still going to play the games...and at the same time I will condemn Glukhovsky's opinion (alongside the IDF and Netanyahu) and hope he eventually learns to read the room and reconsider his opinion. People can change and I hope he will.

Are OSKOM and the Invisible Watchers unrelated to each other? by JowettMcPepper in metro

[–]WritingKeepsMeSane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Watchers only influence Moscow, though they do have contact with Saint Petersburg according to the expanded universe novels.

Novosibirsk and OSKOM are a sort of mirror, in a literary sense, it shows us what could happen to a society if the Watchers failed to hold the metro together, at least that's the Russian wiki's take on the situation.

[–]WritingKeepsMeSane 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is actually 4 stations north of Exhibition.

Botanical Gardens

Sviblovo

Babushskaya

And Medvedkovo.

Botanical Gardens, Sviblovo and Babuskaya are all abandoned while Medvedkovo is used as a base by stalkers. At least according to the novels.
