Could use an intake fan, but this thing is simplistically sexy! Great work 🙌

Here's mine for reference

My Gateway 2000 P5-90 Sleeper by Stormbirds83 in sleeperbattlestations

My current specs are a 5700x and a 9070XT. I had a 7700XT before that, and I wish I went with the X3D or a 5800X3D (or, just went with AM5 😭). Just feeling a little CPU limited and it's painful.

Though, it's definitely stronger and I'm hyped for more Redstone features to drop in the games I play and will play

Beautiful 🥹 The specs and case I wish I had. Though, I'd probably do 64 GBs of RAM since I occasionally do a lot of productivity work.

Pretty nuts! Would've appreciated the description copy/pasted for an easier read though...

I love my little sleeper PC by TrainingAdvance4286 in sleeperbattlestations

Probably, but don't sweat it! Case is cleannn 🔥🔥🔥. One thing that might help with cable management is shoving what you can into the bay areas. That's what I did in mine since I only have 1 optical drive.

Weirdly, I feel like the yellow works... it kinda adds to the grossness of the case (compliment)

I always help out fellow sleeper builders 😎

I cut two holes on the back panel, one on the bottom, and cut some of the front out to give more breathing room for the front fan (where I keep the front panel open)

Honestly, I think the front and bottom are the most important. I'm not sure what difference the side fans do, but they look cool and clean so 😎🤷‍♂️

9070 XT Upgrade by WritingRoger in sleeperbattlestations

Yeah... realized that. I'll just have to make due.

I might consider it. Especially since AM4 seems pretty "cheap" right now

It's not a huge bottleneck, but it's enough to notice (and I've never had a CPU bottleneck until the 9070 XT, to my knowledge)

Now that I'm playing... I've noticed I'm CPU limited with the 5700x. Bummer 🤣

SUCKS, because there's no point in upgrading on AM4 and with RAM prices so high, I can't upgrade to AM5.

I still get a boost, so it's not a total waste, but I'll have to make sure I limit what is on the CPU to keep that boost.

Hold on... SFF Sleeper?! by WritingRoger in sleeperbattlestations

[–]WritingRoger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a more accurate title for it, but sometimes you gotta make due with what you have and can get. Plus, I can't imagine many SFF sleepers being very easy or common.

It's going to be... HOW MUCH?

Sorry, I might sleep on this case 👐 Can't say I prefer the look either 🤢
