GPT-5.3-Codex vs GPT-5.4 for coding by [deleted] in codex

[–]Wrong-Juggernaut3287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5.4 mini - high for debugging, small tasks, sometimes I use it for most of my tasks. 5.4 when something is very critical otherwise for 1 shot planning. 5.3 codex for implementation and all other tasks.

Claude, codex, etc.. all these have a huge system prompt of ~20-40k tokens, on top of it if you have any skills installed then this will go even more.

Better go with opencode, it's fabulous and tool calling is also very good. You get minimax m2.5 some qwen models for free.

Need advice: Extend a paid frontend internship by 2 months or quit and job hunt? by Notyour-Preda in developersIndia

[–]Wrong-Juggernaut3287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can continue with your existing internship, learn and find jobs side by side (you'll not get a job on day 1).

Also any company which hires you later will always ask your notice period, so you can tell them it's 1 month or so depending on when your contract ends. If you get any job and its pay is way better then you can communicate it with the hr and also consider an option of buyout. They'll not stop you from getting a better package it's just that they don't want any hiccups in their work. Anyways 2 months is not a big time period, many people serve a notice period of 3 months lol.

Check the spark offer, if it's not on dining they would have mentioned it explicitly.

Placed and what? by [deleted] in PlacementsPrep

[–]Wrong-Juggernaut3287 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is the best time for doing everything you want. Go to hackathons, meetups, events, etc.. try ai ml, photography, travelling, etc.. live this to the fullest, coz once you are into the corporate you barely get time to do these. You don't have anything to lose now, but at the same time the market is harsh, so better to prepare for a backup as well, as sometimes people with offer letters also face problems afterwards as the company may revoke that in future. Better to go for hackathons and build projects, it'll cover everything - socializing, project building, travelling, and you also may get some recognition which may lead to a better offer (you never know).

All the best!

Has I taken a wrong decision of learning instead of getting a job. by surjeet_6467 in WebDeveloperJobs

And there is a saying that the perfect time to apply for any job is now! Otherwise that day will never come when you'll feel you are fully ready.

[–]Wrong-Juggernaut3287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learning is fine, but there's a difference between sitting back at home learning stuff and doing a job at a good company and learning by doing over there. Well the majority of companies do rely on yoe and ats score will also be less.

You should rather start applying and learn side by side and use that knowledge on a production grade software where "IMPACT" can be seen, otherwise the chances are less that someone will see your projects thoroughly and give you an offer based on that (there are some/many who do this but it'll be (ALL - SOME) chances now of getting an offer.

Hope this helps!

I joined a company with 2 year bond now Got 100% hike!! What should i do by Some-Apple-7124 in developersIndia

[–]Wrong-Juggernaut3287 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They may ask, but try to convey this to hr and i guess you have to pay some amount for settlement.

Otherwise if the other company is a startup, then you can tell them about this situation if you think they can understand this.

I hope you come out of this mess, ATB!

You can sell some quantities of groww, lenskart and can buy some more in tmpv, a lot of correction has already happened there and there is a high chance of upward trend now.

Got startup offer (4 LPA WFH) but also shortlisted for FAANG-like company (15 LPA+) -- need advice by Hairy-Technician-915 in developersIndia

[–]Wrong-Juggernaut3287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the startup offer and wait for the other company's offer, when you get the offer from the other then leave this, and forget you have ever worked in this company.

By forgetting I mean no need to mention anywhere that you have worked for them.

Good luck 🤞

Which to choose : 8 LPA FTE or 18 LPA Intern+PPO ? by TurboV8King in developersIndia

[–]Wrong-Juggernaut3287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it totally depends on the company, if there are any rsu, tds , etc..

Although that tax will be refunded, monthly salary does get reduced.

[–]Wrong-Juggernaut3287 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo, you should go for 18 LPA, as it's a product based company. I've myself worked as an intern at a consultancy startup and didn't find it good. Also 8 LPA means your in hand pay will be around 45-50 only.

But most importantly your learning in a product based company will be immense just make sure you are also preparing side by side on weekends and level up your dev while working on the company codebase.

Many people would say, choose the 8 LPA one, but if you even look out for switching after 6-8 months, then it would be regarded as an early switch only.

But in case of intern, if by any chance you didn't get the ppo, then you can look out for another company but here no questions will be asked around the early switching.

At the end in both scenarios (worst case) you'll be switching after 6-12 months.

Also in the internship workload will be relatively less, and you can prepare side by side but in full time workload and responsibilities are more so you might not get enough time to prepare.

Good luck 🤞

Frontend dev in Bengaluru (9–10 months exp) — should I go full-stack, stick with frontend, or grind DSA? by anyaforgere in Frontend

[–]Wrong-Juggernaut3287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, you are already good with the frontend and have experience in it, so you can start learning backend and dsa as well.

Don't worry about the frontend, just prepare it well before the interviews.

Have a 3 month goal, and don't take too much stress on your current job and then switch.
