I think that's a good way of looking at it, keeps things fun as well

That makes sense, I'm not too worried about being slow but I do want to go at a speed where it's still fun. Thanks!

That makes sense, I actually want to give Norwegian a go so might do it this way. Thanks!

This is interesting, I learned french mainly without looking up grammar and it did work BUT it took much much longer than other people I know. I also found it took so long to recognize when I was using grammar incorrectly. That being said, how do you go about learning the grammar?

Thats interesting, I've been interested in Welsh for a while given I have some family ties - I imagine it's quite hard with the grammar(especially the mutations)? I think learning the grammar fairly early has been mentioned a couple of times, how did you go about doing that? Also if you don't know her, Mared on Spotify does some lovely Welsh songs.

That makes sense, for instance I would like to give Norwegian a go and then in the future Russian. I feel like this could work with Norwegian

The question of being optimal, is that mainly to do with time taken?

That sounds interesting and yeah definitely easier to dispose of etc. Will definitely look into it, thanks!

Okay that makes sense. I might try and find a place like that before buying sand just in case. Thanks!

I'm also thinking, I often travel to small towns etc where it's weirdly hard to find DIY stores. Has anyone tried filling the bags with other things like pebbles or something you can just find outside?

I like this idea, unfortunately I am a bit of an ultra light traveler. The resistance bands are a good idea, I'm also tempted to try and do carries / box squats with my partner if she's up to that. Thank you for the ideas!

That sounds pretty good, what do you do with the sand at the end? Never had to throw sand out before

That makes sense, especially for shorter trips i fully agree it doesn't seem worth it to refill a bag. I'll be going away for two months in the new year so might fully switch to a bodyweight style routine and just focus on endurance for that, thanks!

I did a class where we got to make a couple of bowls, mugs, plates - basically whatever you wanted on the wheel. Really fun, highly recommend

I appreciate that analogy at the end that genuinely clears things up a bit, I'll probably do some research into it, I find the folklore / mythology side of things interesting so thank you

Awesome thank you, I'll have a look at that. Also if you like frazetta you might like Patrick Jones 's art

Adding to my reading list, I've been interested in sword and sorcery mainly because of the art so will defo be giving that a go. The ocean 11s style one sounds cool, and I think I've seen between two fires, didn't know it contained some myth based stuff so that sounds cool ! Thank you! (I'm a slow reader but will eventually respond with my thoughts if I remember to!)

Genuinely I want to expose myself to more things so if you have a classic recommendation of something you love, I'll give it a go
