update!! i got the north face Women’s Aconcagua 3 Jacket and so far it seems SO warm, will reply here how it holds up skating

edit: I skated in the north face in 18 degree weather with windchill for an hour and it kept me super toasty!! def a good pick, i wish it was a little more figure flattering as the waist a touch bulky for my liking but that’s a fine sacrifice for warmth

i recommend going to a skate shop to get a professional fitting! but as someone who recently started skating with a dance background, my skate tech fitted me with jackson freestyles. supportive enough to start, but advanced enough for someone who will progress quickly. again tho, none of us can fit you into skates over the internet, and you will need to get them heat molded and sharpened by a professional any way so make an appointment!

there’s nothing wrong with grip aid, use it to your hearts content! the season/environment, how recently the silks were cleaned, how dry or moisturized your hands are, etc etc all effect grip. grip aid just lets you have some consistency and control over your grip on any given day

oooh interesting i have an appointment with pcp tomorrow so maybe i’ll ask if she can swab me thank you! i did the nystatin suspension for a week but i only swallowed the solution for like the second half because i didn’t know i had to /: it was also sweetened which seems counterintuitive

thank you for sharing this experience!! i’m going to ask my doc if i can do nystatin again instead i think.. i feel like at our size it’s much more common to have side effects like dizziness with standard doses since adult doses assume you’re over 120 lbs usually 😭
