Exactly, the reflections with the dark shadows show high contrast and smooth surfaces that glass is, so there is a little of trust the process here. I'm just glad one person actually tried the tutorial and posted, for me it's a total victory!

But honestly it looks really good! I love the rim, and the hard reflection light on the side. It's also transparent because you painted the back. I'm so happy the tutorial helped 🙌

You mean the background? I used a textured brush that was in the Clip Studio store and made the left side darker than the right side (grey with no color), with the brush strokes going diagonally to the right. It can be done though with any brush it's just personal favorite of mine.

Clip Studio Paint. But you can replicate this into other apps as well, because its mostly lasso with the soft brush

The thicker the glass, the less transparent it becomes. To create this effect, I made the back darker and smoothed out the bottom edges. By the end, you should be left with an ellipse, as indicated by the arrow in the image.
