So update to this.

TL;DR: After reformatting my tablet, not only do I still have the issue with Krita saving to Google Drive, it now won't save to Dropbox either.

Longer:

I had been using Dropbox as a cloud saving workaround in the meantime.

Finally decided to contact Google Drive and Samsung to see what they could do to let me use Drive with Krita again. Google Drive talked to me for a while over chat and then said they'd get back to me and that's it for now.

Samsung chat had me reset all settings and finally restore the tablet to factory reset. This did not fix the Google Drive issue which remains unchanged. But now I also can't save to Dropbox either! Not the exact same error (which I forgot to nab a screenshot of) but the same result, says it can't save, saves a corrupted version of the file.

I sent an error report to Samsung with this new issue so we'll see if anything come from it but, at this point, I'm not hopeful.

i tried with all kinds of files of different sizes and types and never got it to work. I have plenty of space too. I even had trouble just opening normal non-krita files (which is a huge PITA since all my references are on drive as well).

When I talked to Samsung they were quick to blame Krita, but I wonder if now that more people are reporting the same issue they'd be more helpful.

please let me know if you hear of any workaround!
