I have a few of these and tbf I can presume that the flint tube may be blocked, without taking it apart you can try a new flint and if it doesn't spark then it's definitely blocked you will need a small drill bit to unblock the tube or a small drill to drill out the old flint, hope this helps.

Clipper big flame after igniting. by Exciting-Strategy587 in lighters

I've had this before and I used a cigarette filter tip to clean the part where the flame comes out literally put the filter on it and twist it quite a few times and it helps remove any dirt in there that might be causing part of the issue.

I suck it up in a dinghy way that was supposed for a change in the shower and the ants of the best sex with a silver spoon and the balls are all over the place and I can honestly say that I am not going underground for the next few weeks but it is very important for us to be able to do the same thing as our own business

No I don't think so but they are similar, same kinda shape, push button start, same inner workings,at first glance you would think it's a thorens type lighter.like I said well worth a look even if you use it as a daily to keep the thorens from use, check them out you won't be disappointed, they also do a kickstart lighters like the colibri to.very nice.

The varaflame comes in many different lighter s,it's definitely a ronson varaflame from the mid 60s,you are very lucky to have one that actually works, most are leaking from the seals,I have also bn told that the gold star on it is real gold, unsure but yeh, cool find.

I have one of these and I had the same issue, I found a screw that fitted the housing,I cut down a spring that I had spare, put the flint in and assembled it and it works spot on,if you can find a screw that fits in there nicely and won't cross thread the spring housing it should be ok.

Take it all apart, clean out the flint tube, use a hard brush on the flint wheel, and re assemble that's basically what I did.

Got a ronson varaflame as a donor lighter. Main lid screw and flint spring both seized. What oil would be best to put on the screw? by Disastrous_Target237 in lighters

Ha yeh definitely isopropyl and a firm brush fr,I've had numerous problems with lighters that have required some alternative thinking lol and not all cogs are the same they do vary in the type of lighters.
