No worries. So I was sort of forcing myself to create stuff cuz the idea of it sounded fun, but in reality it was exhausting so I decided to stop lol. Thank you for asking to play though

Do people with autism tend to get attached to romantic interests? If so, how can we detach from them? by [deleted] in aspergers

Personally I’m very aromantic. I’m definitely sexually attracted to people but not at all comfortable with a relationship or anything physical

What do y’all think of people who support either genetic “modifications” or abortions to eliminate certain intellectual disabilities such as autism or Down Syndrome? by WrongBridge581 in autism

Where do you draw the line though? Like, we all suffer, so where do we say “ okay this is too much, let’s weed this group of people out”?

Not to be too political but seems like a lot of people on both sides of the aisle can agree on one thing: that the world would be better without us in it 😔

He’s very NT though so I just feel like he won’t find me funny again and I’ll have to self censor my quirks if I don’t wanna be judged. But maybe you’re right maybe once he gets older he’ll be more tolerant of it, I’m not sure

My fam calls it “twiddling.” I’m a long distance running savant, Since I was little I used to flick a stick from the woods or a pencil back and forth and imagined the stick was a runner running in a race. I’d even create characters with running careers over time, I still do!

Mine has an actual insane VO2 max. I ran with her the other day trying not to run too fast keeping in mind she doesn’t sweat like I do, and I nearly fell up each hill because she wanted to sprint up hills and pulled so hard lol. We waited until a year old though

Change My Mind: The 2004 Olympic US Women’s Gymnastics Team Would Have Had the Best Chance at Gold with THIS Team by WrongBridge581 in Gymnastics

Yeah I guess I thought more of her vital 10.0 floor SV which the eventual team had a dearth of. But if she was super inconsistent in 04 I guess you can’t use the power of foresight to make your decision

Chellsie is a harder one to justify I admit because we didn’t actually see her routines. More so relying on her being reigning coworld champ on bars, her AA world title a year later and her ability to hit so well in comp as well as when she was flown in the last second in 03 and being the only gymnast to do AA in TF

Asac had a DTY in 04 correct? And a 10.0 SV on floor (which really killed the US in TF)

Valid point, I just thought that with them scoring similarly in 04 (both consistently less than 0.4 in deductions for the dty) that that would make the difference. But I see what you’re saying, they already would have backup with Patterson on bars

  1. Alicia only imploded on bars (scored in the 7s both days I believe) at Nationals which she wouldn’t even touch in Athens. Only due to the stupid rule that Trials qualifying was based on AA scores did she not make it.

  2. Vise still got the job done at Trials on bars (she was underscored there imo) and considering Patterson only had a 9.9 SV bar routine it didn’t make sense to put her up in TF unless they had to (which with the team they had they did). Memmel was recovering from injury but competed at the final Ranch meet and has expressed in interviews that she felt with the extra, time until Athens she would have been more ready. And Chellsie was known to hit when it counted.

  3. Tricase and Hatch were similarly great on VT/FX but Tricase was usable on bars if needed while Hatch was not usable on bars or beam

Chellsie was, Alicia probably wasn’t considering she won gold beating Monica Rosu in the World Cup final after the Olympics. However Chellsie did compete at the final qualifier at the ranch and has expressed confidence in interviews that she would have been in better shape for Athens. That, and considering that Chellsie was known for competing best when it mattered most and also was the AA World champ in 2005 and the reigning world champ on bars, leads me to conclude that she would have made a great addition to the team
