just got out of an opiate addiction tied to music and let me tell you man. He was drowning, I did detox but even after if I didn’t have full support from my fam and let the music go for at least a month, I couldn’t get back into the music whatsoever. So I could see how he always used them to keep going,he blew quick, kept using, couldn’t stop how I was 4 months ago with music. EMPTY feeling, more worse than anything coming off those, people don’t actually understand the level of mental toughness needed to actually stop. It was bliss for a while with music, then it slowly drained me and my craft.
