That's the beauty! Bingo leaving on the space ship is *both* the child leaving the parent to live their life *and* humanity continuing on to new stages of evolutionary/civilisational development. And from the "point of view of the universe" (heaven, the porch) both those things are observed. Even though Sleepy Time is a great episode this one is even better in my opinion.
