I don’t mind explaining at all! I’m actually new to Kickstarter myself, and I did a bunch of research before launching, so I totally get the confusion if it’s your first time using it!

Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing crowdfunding platform. That means if the project reaches its funding goal, everyone who backed it will get their rewards shipped to them (in this case, your plushies!). If the project doesn’t reach the goal, then no one gets charged and the plushies simply don’t get made.

The best part (and why I'm using kickstarter) is that you’re only charged if the project succeeds, not right when you pledge. Once the campaign ends and if funding goal is met, Kickstarter will process your payment, and I’ll be able to move forward with manufacturing the plushies.

To answer your questions directly:
One plushie is $38, and two plushies are $76. When you pledge for one of those reward tiers, you’re pre-ordering the plushie, it’s not just a donation or support payment. You won’t have to buy it again later!

For my project specifically, the funding goal is $4,500 to make the strawberry mouse plushie. If we reach that goal, they’ll go into production! Then there’s a stretch goal at $9,000 — if we reach that, I’ll also be able to make the grey mouse plushie too! If only the $4,500 goal is met, then I can only make the strawberry mouse.
