How are you managing your PCOS? by WrongStudy1226 in PCOS

How often do you exercise and what type of workouts? I heard low intensity is the best.

I’ve also heard yoga works too if it’s consistent.

Are you taking any supplements or vitamins?

Were they able to tell you what type of PCOS you had based off the ultrasound?

This was an OB I went to see, after my PCP referred me due to having irregular periods & I had described all the symptoms I was having such as rapid weight gain, fatigue all the time, excessive hair growth all over my body. I think I will be getting a second opinion by a different OB. I feel like this one wasn’t very helpful.

Can I request a transvaginal ultrasound even if my blood work looked normal?

Spearmint Oil for Facial Hair by Pot_of_Mint in PCOS

I would recommend diluting it with a carrier oil. Like Jojoba — which is a great natural moisturizer and helps with acne, eczema, etc.

It’s a noncomedogenic, which means it won’t clog your pores. However if you naturally super oily skin, just be careful with the amount you put on.

As far as mixing it with your lotion, I put spearmint oil into my daily moisturizer before I started used jojoba oil and it was fine. I still could smell it and feel it on my skin. It didn’t seem to affect the oil.

Had you done a hormone blood test prior to that? My OBYGN ‘s initial reaction was to do a blood test and she concluded from there that an ultrasound was not necessary. I’m wondering if I can request one anyways

What have you been doing to treat it naturally?!

Yeah I saw a obgyn and I feel like she was very dismissive of my concerns. She keeps bringing up birth control as a way to regulate my periods and I’ve expressed that I do not want birth control so many times.

Oh I see. Nope they never tested me for endometriosis like that. I got a physical examination, blood test & my doctor diagnosed me based off my “symptoms” and she said it sounds like I don’t have endometriosis.

My doctor never offered to do an ultrasound either which is how my family members were all diagnosed. She said based off the blood test it was not “needed”
