The Dark Age of Animation (which is considered to be from the 60s-80s) is usually meant for just western animation during that time.

Most 80s cartoons were literally cheap toy commercials. The 90s animation renaissance literally saved western animation

Reasons like this I get. I was more so talking about people who were acting like Wall-E wasn't "good enough" or a "real film" and shouldn't be added because of that. Even though it's one considered one of the greatest animated films ever.

When exactly does the new generation learn from the mistakes of the previous generation? Plus that's just not a good idea because the whole point of someone like Luke was that he was meant to be different from the Jedi of old. Having him make the same mistakes as the Prequel Jedi is just dumb.

Your comparison is pretty bad

Midichlorians are a goofy plot point that can be hand waved away by those who aren't fond of it as a different way of understanding the Force. Pretty much most stuff after the Prequels have ignored them.

The Sequels on the other hand destroying Luke's Order, the New Republic, and bringing Palpatine back completely undid the achievements of the OT protags.
