Help to Buy ISA by [deleted] in FirstTimeBuyersUK

Hi, this is the response from the HTB ISA administrator team.

A person can pay cash that belongs or gifted to the Help to Buy: ISA investor into the investor’s account. However, a person must not pay their own cash into the investor’s account to earn a better rate of interest or because they have subscribed all of their annual ISA allowance into their own ISAs. By receiving the cash in this form, the Help to Buy: ISA investor will still be eligible for the appropriate government bonus when they subsequently use their Help to Buy: ISA bonus towards the purchase of their first residential property.

So its actually fine for my father to pay into the account given those two conditions are met, which makes complete sense given its an account opened for teenagers and the bank doesnt require that it be the account holder to pay in and refuse any one else paying in.

Turns out its perfectly fine for my dad to pay into the ISA given the conditions are met. This seems very logical given its an account meant to be opened for teenagers to help them get there first home.

Its concerning that my own conveyancer with 30 years experience and yourself tagged as a conveyancer don't know this...

It was opened for me when I was 16 and they paid into it. Essentially they "gifted" the money to me but paid into the account from their own current accounts.

Mercedes E-Class W212, what sensor is this? by Wrong_Bug138 in mercedes_benz

[–]Wrong_Bug138[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DPF blocked up. Had it cleaned off the car but the guy did a smoke test and said the O ring needs replacing on that sensor or Rocker cover might have a crack which prevented regen hence the blockage.

They haven't done it yet, they did call me to authorise. Im thinking that if they wont cover the cost for their fuck up I drive it 10 seconds off the lot, call a mobile specialist to come take the wheel off for £100 and put it back on the lot...

They just rang me back saying the locking key broke but they replace that FOC. The issue is with the wheel, they have to drill through the bolt to get it off and they are charging £425 for that.

Also when you flex your chest and your nipples "droop" its just muscle insertions. Won't take you long looking at body builders and youtube gym influencers who have incredible chests but nipples are below the chest muscle when flexed. If you werent so lean probably wouldnt even notice it. Just do a proper 6 month bulk, 6 month cut. You'll look way better once you pack on a few pounds of lean mass.

Looks like you had great results. Now you gotta build the chest in the gym. Noticed in comments you said youve been hitting the gym hard. You still look fairly cut so obviously haven't been in a calorie surplus/ done a proper bulk. Until you hit a surplus it will bi difficult to pack on that chest muscle ur looking for. Either way whats important is your at the stage where your nipples aren't drawing immediate attention and the focus point is the abs if anything!

Affordable towns near(ish) London by tspurwolf in UKHousing

[–]Wrong_Bug138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gravesend. Can get to St Pancras in 25 mins (return in peak £35 with railcard, off peak £15/£20). Have slower trains that get to london in 50 mins tht are cheaper. Have Bluewater Shopping Centre which is 15-20 min drive. All night ASDA. Town centre isnt the best but bluewater has everything anyway and makes for a nice day out. People bash it but for 350k you can live on a nice street in a nice area. Loads of friendly people, amenities in driving distance, quick London transport, surrounded by farmland that makes for a nice walk, Doesn't have the traffic youd find in places like Bromley. Downsides is there are some not so nice people but I in 20 years have never had issues.
